This review is for the Party Staff Los Angeles Branch:
Almost ruined our wedding. This was the most unprofessional, inefficient event staff we have ever experienced. We received numerous complaints from our guests about their poor service & attitude. They failed to help clean up at the end of the night, resulting in us & our friends having to do the job that we hired them for. We were in horror when we returned from our honeymoon to discover boxes of bowls filled with rotting food and glasses still filled with sour champagne because they failed to rinse them out before packing them up. We have contacted this company and spoke to their general manager. He made excuses for his staff, but they have made no attempts to address our grievances. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND.
We hired Roger Espinoza as a solo guitarist for our wedding ceremony. He is by far one of our favorite vendors, so talented yet humble! We gave him our song choices for our ceremony and he even took the effort to learn 2 new songs. He arrived on time and played beautifully. We highly recommend him to any bride and groom looking for an alternative to the traditional harpist or string quartet. He even has a full band that you can hire for the cocktail hour or reception, although we thought his solo was perfect on its own for our ceremony.

Velvet Rope Events was our original wedding coordinator. We hired Maneeja based on her sweet personality and her promise to meet with each of our vendors in person to ensure that our wedding day went as smoothly as possible. She seemed to understand the vision that we were going for. During the month leading up to our wedding day, I would give her details of things we would like to see happen during the actual day. Everything seemed fine, she seemed to be on top of things.
Fast forward, a week before our wedding, she started lagging in her response to my emails. Then we find out from each of our vendors that she had not contacted any of them to confirm any details. None of them have even heard of her! We called her back to find out how this could have happened, and she tells us they she did indeed contact every single vendor...our caterer, florist, photographer, baker. We hadn't even booked our baker yet, how could she have contacted them?? She begged us to give her another chance, but our wedding day is a once in a lifetime event, that we could not leave simply up to chance. Due to her unprofessionalism and dishonesty, we had to fire her. We have attempted to get our deposit back based on the fact that she breached our contract which stated that she would be in contact with our vendors 4-6 weeks before our wedding day. She refused to refund our deposit stating that her day-of coordination list of duties, was not a part of the actual contract. She insists on keeping our deposit for doing not one ounce of work for our wedding.
Wish we had done more research on this company before we hired them, as we just discovered they staged positive reviews for themselves using different usernames on Yelp ALL dated 06/01/2007, including one in which Maneeja gave herself 5 stars. http://www.yelp.com/biz/xdF9lwgC-qr66LrdV-80Sw
This is an extremely unethical company and I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND them.

Ray & Erwin from Apertura blew us away with their professionalism, talent, patience, and warmth. Photography was a high priority for our wedding. We shopped around and found quite a few talented photographers who shot beautiful pictures. What really caught our eye about Apertura is their ability to capture an emotion. Their photos were so different from the others we've seen. Their work is so captivating that you can't help but look at the image over & over again, just to take it all in.
During the day of, they ran with the punches when things didn't go as planned with the timeline and really didn't miss a beat. They helped keep us calm and really captured the mood of our entire wedding. We are truly touched to be able to relive each special moment through our wedding photos.
We love keeping up with their blog, as their work just keeps getting better & better. http://www.aperturaphoto.com/blog/
