Definitely stay in Capri if you go to Capri. We decided to stay in Anacapri because we had heard that Capri Palace was the best hotel in the whole Amalfi coast area… but definitely, Caruso and Le Sirenuse are infinitely better in terms of service and luxury… once again, the management lied to us when we arrived and said they were giving us an upgrade… which they didn't, but at least this time, we had a nice view. Eventually, they moved us to the Skadinsky suite, which was a really nice room…but still not of the same standard as the two previous hotels. Also, we were kind of bothered that all of a sudden the hotel staff was nicer to us once we were staying in a better room! We paid about 12-15 euro to take taxis between Capri and Anacapri… the taxi drivers will try and rip you off if you don't negotiate beforehand. Capri was fun for walking around, shopping (though super expensive!) and celeb spotting… we had really amazing food there too… Aurora was really good and the restaurant at Capri Palace is the best element of the hotel. Otherwise, it's completely overrated!

Definitely the nicest hotel either one of us have ever stayed in. Absolutely stunning views overlooking Ravello and the infinity pool is breathtaking… it's an 11th century palace that has been converted into a luxury hotel… old-school charm meets modern amenities. The rooms are equipped with modern technology... like TV's that tuck into a footbed at the touch of the remote. I give it a low grade bc of the way they treated us. We were supposed to have a junior suite with a sea view… and they lied to us and said they were giving us an upgrade… except the "upgrade" they gave us had two seriously tiny windows facing the street-side of the hotel. We found out later from the locals that they hadn't paid their taxes and had to close several sea view rooms… and they tend to favor European guests over Americans. Once we figured out they lied, we confronted the management, and they offered us a free dinner at the hotel restaurant. We didn't want something free… we just wanted a room with a view – we weren't looking for anything free. For our last night there, they moved us to a gorgeous room – the room we had originally booked. A couple days after we got back, Moonrings (the honeymoon agency) helped get our money back for the "upgrade" the hotel gave us. The management at Caruso definitely put a slight damper on things, but we didn't let them ruin our fun. We had a private cooking lesson one day at a chef's home, which was lots of fun. I don't think we learned very much, but it was definitely a good experience! And we loved the gardens at Villa Cimbrone… Ravello is a definitely a relaxed town with not much to do… but that's what we loved about it. We also went to a concert one night at a park – it felt like the town was sort of the cultural/musical hub of the Amalfi coast.

We were upgraded to a Junior Suite because they knew we were honeymooners… so lucky! Our room was beautiful and we spent a lot of time on our terrace overlooking the town and the sea…gorgeous view. The hotel has perfected the art of hospitality… very charming and the lobby is filled with antiques and records of guests from the past hundred years plus. We loved how the room came with ipod speakers… you can either borrow a loaded ipod from them or use your own… we had our own party in our room. :) The service at the hotel was impeccable and we had the best time just walking around, soaking up the environment, eating long dinners, etc.. there isn't much to do in Positano besides smelling the flowers and eating great food. Our best meal was at a local restaurant Max. The food at the hotel was good and the ambiance was very romantic, but I think the best food is at the local restaurants. We also went to San Pietro for dinner – unbelievable hotel location… it's perched on the side of a cliff and the gardens are absolutely gorgeous…maybe better for drinks than for dinner… we also went on a ridiculous hike up the mountain one day… definitely do this only if you have been working out regularly! :)

Unbelievable, unbelievable! We had such a blast… our room was incredible and the service was great. We stayed in the newer wing of the hotel and had a balcony facing the ocean and a beautifully manicured lawn that was dotted with hammocks and palm trees. At the hotel, we had spa treatments for two in the Balinese style garden villas – super relaxing. Don't recommend the facials, but the massage was definitely worth it! The gardens are incredible at the hotel – perfect for a destination wedding! And we had a great time relaxing on the beach - the water was a perfect shade of turquoise…it seriously felt like paradise. Only element that wasn't perfect was the food – it's super overpriced at the hotel and not that great. We ate at Dune twice and we went to Atlantis for dinner twice… Nobu at Atlantis was the best meal we had while we were there.

Beautiful job! They made endless edits and changes according to my husband's wishes and the result was beautiful!

They worked extremely hard throughout the torrential rain that whole weekend. They did a great job, but my feeling is that they are more suitable for corporate events rather than a wedding event.

The best cake I've ever had... I think I had about three (or maybe five?) slices. It was really beautiful too - she derived the design from the invitations and did a beautiful job.

Ibrahim bailed on us at the last second... it's not very clear why, but I trust that it was a good reason. Unfortunately, he sent a friend who was not as good and played some cheesy music. We still had a great time, but it was a little disappointing.

Eccentric and talented, Chef Danyell prepares an incredible menu. The food was fantastic and the presentation superb.
