My husband is from Scotland, so of course, he was going to wear his kilt. But he needed to rent some for his groomsmen. This place in San Francisco was friendly, helpful and flexible. The rental my husband got was supposed to be for 3 days only, but they generously allowed it to be 5 days for the same price due to his groomsmen's circumstances. So we very much appreciated working with them!

My husband and I try to be as "green-thinking" as possible - so when it came to invitations, we knew we didn't want something that would require 20 pieces of paper just for 1 invite. This company does beautiful invitations with detachable response cards - saving you paper - and they also have recycled paper options. Not only that, but if you don't like any of their designs you can design your own. It does cost extra, but it's a flat fee - not an extra amount per card. I was very happy with what I received - I loved how our invitation was distinctly "us"!

True... most girls don't choose to go camping for their bachelorette party - and certainly not in the middle of October! - but if you're not like most girls then this is the campground for you! The owners were quite excited to see us...I guess they had never had a bachelorette party at their campground either! And they kindly put us down by the river (away from the other winter campers) so that we wouldn't bother them (and they wouldn't see our silly games - a huge sigh of relief from the easily-embarrassed bride!) Plus the campground is in the midst of redwoods - so really, just a gorgeous place!

We used Lepe's for our rehearsal dinner - because we wanted fun, casual food that we didn't have to think too hard about. Lepe's was great because they make it easy for you to choose - it took us literally 15 minutes to figure everything out for the evening! The only drawback was that they forgot our order of flan for dessert - and it wasn't caught until we arrived at the rehearsal dinner site. Otherwise, delicious Mexican food at a very reasonable price.

We stayed in the Zinfandel room at the Zinfandel Inn on Zinfandel Lane! One would think (with that cheesy line) that our experience was, shall we say, a bit much? But it was really wonderful. This small bed and breakfast was the perfect getaway for us. The innkeeper was really nice - he very kindly let my husband bring breakfast to our room - and gave us great advice on places to go in Napa Valley (and how to get there avoiding traffic!). A great place.

These photographers - a husband and wife team - are excellent!! Their prices are very reasonable considering you get 2 photographers for the price. We especially liked how they printed up cards that had the website of where our pictures would be posted to hand out to the guests at the wedding. And then they had the pictures up within 3 weeks (normally it's 2 but they had 3 other weddings in addition to ours that they did that weekend, so they were a bit slammed).

A gorgeous site - no doubt! But they know it as well, and charge you through the nose for it. We also had a hard time working with the event coordinator there. They lost track of one of our payments - and then at the end, when we came in under our guest capacity and didn't drink as much we had originally paid for (you have to pay for drinks up front) - they didn't refund us all the money that they should have. It was ridiculous how much we had to work to make sure they took care of us on that day. For the amount of money that you pay them for this site, one would think they would look after you a little more. They don't. Be warned: you need to be on top of every detail if you choose to go with them.

My husband and I were limited by our site to choose from 7 caterers - and we extensively reviewed 4 of them. We were impressed with Randi because, unlike the others who seemed to know that we had to choose from between them (and so had these crazy price lists), Randi kept things simple with a flat rate that included almost everything. She incorporated special touches to here menu to account for our tastes and backgrounds. All our guests agreed that the food was delicious. A great value!

I know most all of these ladies personally, so I know that they are committed to doing beautiful work. All of them can come and do your hair/makeup at your house - so there's no need to travel to the salon AND your house AND the site AND the church. You can stay comfortable at your own place (or wherever) - that was a huge plus for me.

Our florist was excellent - we loved her a lot! Very personable and excellent to work with. She gave great suggestions and her taste is impeccable. Do check out her website, because her pictures are definitely worth 1000 words.
