We had a great experience working with Rob overall. We appreciated how detail-oriented, helpful, and professional he was through the whole process of signing a contract, preparing for the big day, and after the photos were done. We appreciated that he approaches taking wedding photos both as a creative exercise and as an archive of the big day -- in other words, he got some cool shots but you also made sure to capture, as he likes to say, the complete 'story of our wedding.' Most importantly, we love our pictures. Last, but not least, we believe we got a great value for our money.

Patticakes is in north Pasadena and makes a variety of cakes and wedding cakes. They only do wedding cakes wrapped in white chocolate (and maybe chocolate ganache) and decorated with ribbon and fresh flowers (i.e. no frosting, no fondant, no sugar flowers). Their specialty cakes are inspired and taste good. Our cake was pretty and was delicious. They were fairly easy to work with and definitely professional. Their prices for decorated tiered cake are relatively high, but they worked with our budget and offered to supplement a small tiered cake with a much less expensive sheet cake.

The food at our reception was delicious, including the dishes especially made for vegetarians by our request, and the prices were extremely reasonable. We had a few logistical issues on the day of our reception -- most of which were quickly corrected -- but otherwise our experience was great.

I had a great experience with Mary Me Bridal, especially with my bridal consultant Maria. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. They gave good feedback on the different dresses and made me feel very comfortable. The alterations were beautiful except that they took one more trip than they really should have, which is the only reason I give 4 stars.

Jaimee at Edge was great. We felt very comfortable with her from our very first meeting. She was fun and sweet and willing to work with our budget. She was very profesional in preparation for and during our reception. Most importantly, she totally delivered on her promise to keep the dance floor busy!

The Factory Studio is in Pasadena near the Paseo Colorado. Their prices are definitely competitive with other local hair & makeup studios (which are all too expensive if you ask me). They were very easy to work with -- I went in there with very little idea of what I wanted, and they created a great look that really suited me. I received many compliments on my hair and makeup. The studio calls itself 'indie' and has art on the walls, 'indie' music playing, and 'edgy' looking stylists. Very cool.

Bernie was very flexible and easy to work with. Our flowers were beautiful, and the prices were reasonable.
