I can't say enough good things about Absolutely Charleston! We reserved Trolley #8, which is a classic white trolley, for our transportation to and from the ceremony, downtown for pictures, and back to the reception.

2 days before the wedding, we got a phone call saying our trolley was in the shop and will not be ready for the day, and offered us a bigger/nicer trolley at no additional cost to make up for the breakdown. I was impressed from the start on how they strived for perfect customer service. The driver was patient while we were driving around downtown Charleston during rush hour, always with a smile and trying to keep us cool in 88 degree weather.

When we were finished and dropped off at the reception, they handed me a gift, which was a silver spoon engraved with the Charleston Pineapple (sign of friendship) and our initial on the handle!

I was very touched at how much they appreciated our business. Especially in the #1 wedding destination in the U.S., where quite a few of our vendors treated us as dispensible clients, they made us feel appreciated.

I have a mixed review for Other Brother Entertainment.

The bad:
We hired DJ Josh after he came highly recommended at a Charleston Wedding Show. They were very on top of things throughout the planning process, even when I was late getting them the Wedding Form with all our requested songs.

From the beginning, after phonetically spelling out each name for our announcement of the bridal party, and after instructions and pronunciation lessons from my mother, he completely butchered 8/10 names, and called me Miss!! At least he could have gotten our names right, but I let it go.

Then he had to be prompted to stop playing music for toasts, and prompted to start playing music after they were done again (despite having a specific timeline of when to stop and start).

Then he cut off my dance with my dad, and with that cut off half our slideshow my sister spent HOURS working on getting the timing exactly right for us :/ I was SO bummed!

Then he forgot to do our bouquet toss, somehow didn't have the song we requested for my dad's song with me, forgot to do our anniversary dance, then DIDN'T have the song I requested weeks before for the dance! (100 years by five for fighting - not really a hard to find song!).

Wish I would have played my iPod instead of paying him $700 to be babysat all night by ME, the bride :/

The good:
At the last minute, I remembered we needed video equipment for our slideshows during the reception. They came through with the equipment and someone to sit and play them for us, in case anything went wrong. A little expensive, but glad they were so accommodating.

My mom's best friend works for One Enchanted Evening, and I can't say enough good things about her. I gave her just a few inspiration pictures, and she listened to everything I had to say and more. With the blanks I left with her, she filled them in with perfection!

I was dead set on having peonies in my bouquet, and even with the volcano ruining the crops in Holland a week before the wedding, I still had 30 GORGEOUS pink & white peonies when I walked down the aisle. She even made a back up bouquet just in case they were tempramental.

My girl's flowers were just stunning, bright pink & light pink roses, and white hydrangas just popped against their Navy dresses, and the light pink & white centerpieces were the talk of the wedding! She also decorated the bars, windowsills, and extra tables with tons of romantic candles, and I was near tears walking into my venue. It was just breathtaking.

We loved working with Rod & Tara! Have had our engagement pictures already, wedding is in 6 months. They are wonderful to work with and loved our e-pics! No one I've shown them to has ever seen anything like them! You can look in my bio for some samples.
Also, their packages are simple! Two separate packages that are all-inclusive, no picking and choosing, they just include everything, which is so nice not to have to think about the little things!

They were wonderful on our wedding day! They kept things fun and rolling at the same time. They were especially accommodating when we had some extra picture requests from family & friends, and they were more than happy to help! We got our first peek within a week of the wedding, and then the full shot list (1600 pictures!) up within 3. So fantastic I didn't have to wait months and months for them! And, we own the pictures after the wedding, so it'll be nice to have them when I want to make a print down the road! Couldn't have asked for anything more from Rod & Tara!

I have never felt so comfortable in a store before! My sister and I made a double appointment so we could go wedding shopping together. Our consultant always made us feel comfortable, offered us things within our budget and always gave us her true opinion, making sure we didn't walk out with something we didn't really want. Can't say enough nice things! Dresses are affordable and beautiful, and you can't say they don't have a massive selection!!
