on hastings/boundary (west of). she's really nice and very reasonable. you don't have to buy things from her, she'll still happily take your dress, suit and alter it for you.

this place is very busy march - may but any time before or after that they will gladly take your business. they are really good and decetly priced. i went to a few and they are the cheapest.

suits from hugo boss are pretty costly, but for the men who wants to buy their suit i'm sure they'd want to look their best that day. suits there are tailored and well made.

my wedding gown is really expensive, but i brought a seamstress to see the dress before i decided and she told me the quality and the make of the dress is really worth the cost. the original price of the dress was $1400, but i bargained with them and they brought it down by $400! this place is in surrey by guilford mall

for chinese weddings, you'll know where/what this place is. chinese people have the custom of sending out cake cards to relatives or friends they cannot invite. At saint germain, their baked goods are good...but they are more expensive, and theres only certain time you can buy bread...too much restrictions. although maxim may not be as good quality as saint germain, people can buy more bread. I once got a cake card from maxim and it was only $10, but i was able to buy a 16inch cake for my entire family to enjoy. i think its worth it.

i was really glad i found vista print. many people throw away wedding invites after wedding is over, so why spend so much on it? vista print occasionally has promos like 10 free invites. when that happens, order your invites (step by step to help you do so) and you can even custom design, or even download your own picture onto the invites to make it extra special. when its on sale like that, the invites are super cheap. I spend $50 or so for invites for 200 guests! their work is nice too!

I liked this place because it was local (marine drive and fraser-vancouver) The staff are helpful and friendly and there were many party favors there to pick and choose. there are more online.

i went to the vancouver bridal show expecting a lot of help but i was really disappointed. too hard sell, everywhere.

The place is cute. its a heritage building and there are two rooms to hold weddings. One room is slightly nicer than the other and can hold up to 150 ppl, 130 w/dance. The other room is the ballroom and can hold max 250, 210 w/dance. that's the one i'll be using in april. Haven't tried the food yet. expecting a taste testing session soon. they wavered out the rental cost of the ballroom so that helps a lot for couples who are watching their budget.
