I am not having a traditional wedding with my groom and groomsmen wearing the traditional tux. I actually planned to have things outdoors so I wanted my guys to be as comfortable as possible. The guys are still wearing tux jackets and pants but only because they actually own them. I went to Haggar to find the dress shirts they are wearing in the main wedding color. I found ties and Calvin Klien in the secondary color. I think I'm happier with my guys wearing a dressed down version of the tux rather than the full blown tux. My fiance isn't much of a dressy dresser as it is. I'm impressed with the quality of the two stores and having my guys dress this way will allow them to get more use out of the shirts and ties in the future.

As soon as I got engaged I signed up on theknot.com. I love the website. I have found so many different topics that I've had questions about. I love the amount of information on the website and the fact that they have pictures posted of just about anything and everything you can think of that is wedding related. I have used the pictures to find a hair style for the wedding and for different cake ideas. I even used it to help pick out a bridal bouquet that I liked to pass on to my florist. I used the site to chose the flowers for my wedding. I had no idea there were so many different kinds of flowers out there. I have used the site to get answers to those questions that others just don't seem to know the answer to. I don't know what I would do without the site.

I'm doing my wedding myself so anytime I come across a deal that will save me money I really love it. I've looked at Hobby Lobby and purchased many of the things I'm using for my wedding. They have a great selection of flowers, books, pillows, baskets, favors, etc. They also have different items that are for rent. The prices for renting these items is very reasonable. Hobby Lobby has become a favorite store for me to shop in for just about anything crafty or for decor.

I Do I Do in Athens had very friendly staff. My sister is my MOH and pregnant. The ladies at I Do I Do have been very helpful in finding a dress that will fit my sister and even give her a little extra belly room. They were so nice that I would recommend this store to anyone, pregnant or not.

I have a girl that is doing my flowers for me that has been a friend of my family for somewhere close to 15 years. I decided that I wanted artifical flowers for cost and looks reasons. I wanted to be able to keep my bouquet for years to come and thought it would be best to have the artifical flowers for that reason. She has done flower arrangements for several weddings including her own and her sisters. I love the work that she is able to do. She is also able to work well under pressure and short notices.

This vendor can actually fall under several different categories. I contacted them for ceremony site, reception site and possibly for a night of the wedding room. The place is gorgeous and came highly praised. I called several times and left several messages but never received a return call. I went to David's Bridal for my first dress fitting and while talking to the lady in alterations she said that was where she had gotten married just a few months before. I told her about my problem and she was able to get someone on the phone for me since she had a direct line from her wedding. My mom actually spoke with the lady from the resort since I was having my dress pinned for the alterations. The lady from the resort had said she would send me an email with the basic wedding information in it that day. Well after several weeks have gone by and I hadn't received the email nor a return call to find out where the email was I finally found a different number for the place and spoke with a manager. I am very upset with the way that I was treated. I really felt as though they were not interested in helping me plan a wedding at their location. Needless to say I am not getting married there.

I have known Jason for several years now. I have seen large amounts of his work. I haven't hired him to photograph my wedding yet because money is an issue for the wedding and he is out of state and would require travel costs to come. I haven't seen a picture that he has taken that isn't great. He can really take a normally awful situation and make it beautiful.

We found a pastor to marry us. This is a man that has known my fiance since he was about 4 or so. We met with Jeff and I was sold in the first 5 minutes. Jeff is very down to earth and laid back. While speaking with us on that first day he made me feel at home and welcome at his house any time. He talked to me like I was his very own daughter that was getting married when in fact he had just met me. He really is a great man and can really help you to open your eyes to what you need to do before you can become a successful husband and wife. We were both very happy that Jeff had agreed to marry us. When we finally were able to pin down a day to start counseling we were really excited. I ended up getting sick two days before that day and we had to miss our counseling. I felt awful. I called Jeff to apologize and of course had to leave him a voicemail. I tried calling him again to apologize and try to reschedule our appointment. Jeff will not answer the phone nor will he return the call. My fiance and I are very upset about this and have since had to find a different pastor to marry us. Luckily we were able to do that within just a few weeks, but this is a man that neither of us has even met before.

I bought my dress at David's Bridal. They are a great store with a huge selection. I did find a problem with the lady they had assigned to help me. She wasn't there for me the way that I needed to her to be. I had never been in a bridal store before and had no clue what I was doing. I had an idea of what I wanted my dress to look like in my head but that didn't help me with where to look and how the dress should actually fit me. She grabbed a dress that was one size for me to try on so she could see which size I would actually be. I had to wait on her to come back for about 10 minutes just standing there in a dress that didn't even fit. I wasn't happy. My mom went with me and she was ready to leave. Had the lady not shown up when she did I think we would have just walked out and went somewhere else. Luckily my mom calmed down and I tried on about 10 different dresses until I found the "ONE". I was so happy in the dress. I felt like such a princess. The lady that was helping me didn't even get the sale off the dress because I went back another day and had another lady help me. Lucky for the second lady she stayed by my side until I was out of the door with the dress in hand.
