We stayed at the DW on the gulf side (in the Villa building) which we booked through bookit.com. We loved that were were so close to the beach. The DW was nice enough to let us use the beach free of charge for our small wedding. We loved the hotel minus a couple small details. The Beds are not very comfortable. After our son went home with my mom, we ended up sleeping on the pull out sofa bed (which was only marginally better). We also weren't thrilled about the layout of the bathroom either...there are huge shutters as opposed to a solid wall...) to separate the sleeping area from the bathroom...not the ideal situation IMO. No privacy to speak of...
As far as some other reviews I saw stating "too Noisy", Yes, out on the balcony you could hear a lot of road noise, but inside the villa, I didn't notice any abnormal amounts of noise. Not quite what I would consider 'too noisy'... We were on the 5th floor so we had a partial view of the gulf from our room which was pretty nice. We had access to all the amenities to both sides of the DW and access to the amenities at the Ramada next door (which has a cool water playground for kids that we didn't get to visit :-( ). We spent all of our daylight time in the gulf and at night we made several trips to the lazy river, which is awesome when all of the unused tubes are in the corral and not floating in the river its self.
There is no daily maid service here, which was ok with us (I don't like the idea of strangers being in my room/stuff when I'm not around...) but you can request service by calling the rental office.

On a side note, while it DOES have free internet, it's not WIFI. It's LAN so if you read this before going...take your wireless router with you, lol.
Over all, we were VERY happy with our wedding/honeymoon stay.

We chose SWC for our destination beach wedding and do not have ANY regrets! We chose their sunshine and romance package with the heart in the sand and coral rose petals. The ceremony was MORE than we ever expected. It was absolutely perfect. Tamra served as our contact before the wedding and as our photographer during the ceremony and Ken was our minister. I have to say, they were completely awesome! Tamra called us the night before with some final details about what time the groom should be there and other minor details so when the day of came, we knew exactly what to do. While they provide vows to choose from, they also encourage you to write your own or to pick and choose your favorite parts from those provided. Other small parts of the ceremony such as the family vows, the sand ceremony (which also included my son) and the blessing stones (which includes everybody in attendance) truly made our ceremony special. And thanks to the sand ceremony, we have a small piece of the beach to bring home and remind us of our day. If we could do it all over again, we would certainly choose SWC for our vendor and I HIGHLY recommend them to other brides planning a wedding in their area. Our wedding, even though small, was truly a memorable occasion thanks to Tamra and Ken!

The ring I purchased from Isabel Rucker was even more beautiful in person than in photographs! Not only was I incredibly pleased, so was my finace! The ring is very masculine, not only in design, but in the thickness of the band and the flat sides. It is exactly what I had envisioned placing on my Love's finger on our wedding day. Isabel is truly a skilled artist and I look forward to seeing this ring on my fiance's finger for the next fifty or sixty years.

So, I got my pens and they are GREAT!! They write wonderfully...so smooth, as I'm sure ANY nurse on here will tell you is a blessing! I'm so glad they weren't the kind of pens that had the crappy ink and ball points! I'm VERY pleased! I got 100 pens for $71! I liked them so well that I ordered more (mostly because FI wanted to hand them out at work, but not pink ones, lol silly macho cop ego, lol)

The new ones were $0.80 each (100 for $80)
I included Gavin on these pens. He'll be thrilled!

Everybody uses pens, so it's a very practical favor for a very low per-piece cost!

Over all, I am MORE than happy!
