The Marriott was ok. The rooms were newly renovated, clean, and very nice. The front desk staff was courteous and helpful. However, we had issue after issue with guests calling to reserve a room in the block and being told there was not block. On the day of they gave my mom's room to another guest. We thought things were worked out, but we ended up having charges for the wrong rooms on the wrongs cards and it took several phone calls and a lot of phone tag to work out.

Catering Works is the best. Lorin was our coordinator. She addressed so many issues I hadn't even thought of and helped us come up with a fantastic idea for our cake. The staff the day of was professional and the food was amazing. People raved about the pasta bar and the mashed potato bar.

I loved this location but it was probably a little over priced. If you're interested in using the space be sure to book far in advance as they fill up fast. We got the last Saturday available for 2008 and booked more than a year in advance.

I was very pleased with the work Robin and Stacey, the second shooter, did for our wedding. The photos very great! Robin and Stacey were both very inconspicuous and captured some great moments. Proofs were available quickly and the photos were high quality.

I had a wonderful time working with Barbara at The Flower Company. Barbara offers brides the option to come into the shop and work with her for DIY flowers. Barbara and I met to decided on flowers, she ordered a huge selection, and 2 days before the wedding myself and my bridesmaids made table arrangements in 3-4 hours and Barbara made the boutineers and bouquets. I loved being able to do have DIY flowers without the hassle of transporting and storing them before the wedding.

Karen was my stylist and she did a phenomenal job. She did a trial and we talked about things to change on the day of and she did a great job. Several other ladies did hair for my grandmother, bridesmaids, and flower girl. Everyone was pleased. The services were a little higher than I wanted to spend but they did a great job.

Crystal's rates were far more reasonable than most other makeup vendors I spoke with. We traveled to her home in Durham for a free trail several months before and she did my mom's makeup that day as well. She traveled to our location on the day of and completed makeup for myself, mother, and 5 bridesmaids in approximately an hour and a half. She did an amazing job. Everyone looked very polished, yet natural and not overdone.

We made our own invites but had the text thermographed through Kinko's. While the work turned out wonderfully, the process to get there was hectic. I was called the day when my invites should have been done and told that they didn't have my file so no work had been done yet. I drove a second copy of my file to Kinko's and when the staff person when to put the CD in my folder he found the original there, plan as day. They did expedite the process and my invites were ready two days later and I was given a 50% discount.

Olga's work is fantastic. Her prices are wonderfully reasonable and she's a great lady. She also made a simple veil for me which was much less expensive than any bridal salon. Olga works from her home and from the outside of the building you don't know what to expect, but her work is impeccable. My maid of honor lives out of the country and we found out she needed alterations on her dress when she arrives 4 days before the wedding. Olga was able to take in her dress on short notice.

Anna is wonderful and her husband William is very kind. Be sure to make an appointment as the shop is small and Anna does the consultations herself. If you're a walkin and she's with another client she won't be able to help you. We ordered 6 Bill Levkoff dresses in 3 different styles and all were wonderful. Anna even did some extreme alterations for a bridesmaid who did not fit into her dress (the bridesmaids fault, not the shop). While the service was wonderful, I do not recommend Bill Levkoff dresses as the adjustable straps on all the dresses had ripped off by the end of the evening and we had issues with the vendor shipping the dresses to the shop later than quoted.
