The reservation process was a little chaotic because of staff changes but the overall experience was awesome. We took over the hotel in Palm Springs and one of their vacation homes. We held a meet and greet party at the hotel and the wedding at the house. The staff was great at just letting us take everything over and enjoy the weekend. Service was casual, but exceptional and not constantly in your face which is what we wanted. For the mid-century feel without overbearing fuss Del Marcos was great.
If you are having a wedding in California at a house or some other spot that does not require you to use their services for liquor then I suggest Costco. We literally set up a whole bar for two events for about 70 guests each night for under $1000. And weused good liquor - Cazadores for tequilla, Bombay Saphire, Kettel One, and on and on. It took a little prep but it was well worth having a stocked bar and saving the extra money for all the other wedding expenses.

Nice and inexpensive floral arrangements in Palm Springs. Nothing too overdone. Jensen's did a good job providing arrangments that complemented the natural setting of our outdoor wedding in Palm Springs.

Le Vallauris is a wonderful french restaurant in Palm Springs. They also did a fabulous job catering our wedding. From the various tray passed appetizers, through the entree and dessert, everything was perfect. Instead of doing a traditional wedding cake we went with their individual flourless chocolate lava cakes for each guest. As Jean Paul said, "some places focus on the look of the cake, we focus on the taste of the cake." That basically sums up their whole approach. Great food that uses fresh seasonal ingredients and service to match. Also, their food costs were a little higher than other caterers because the quality was much better. No buffet pasta and meatballs here. But they did not charge a whole bunch for each glass, napkin, and table cloth. Instead, they charged one flat fee. If you are looking for the standard bland wedding food with table cloths that match bridesmaid dresses go somewhere else. But if your pallette is a little more refined and you actually want quality food then Le Vallauris is it.
Red Lantern was wonderful to work with. They shot both our casual meet and greet party and weddding in Palm Springs. They captured some great candid shots of everyone at the wedding. And they did a beutiful job at capturing the look and feel of the setting. We continue to get complements on our pictures and would recommend their services to anyone. We especially like the photo book option which is more like a real book than a photo album. It was also nice because we got all the photos so we were able to share those with others.
