In hindsight, I wish we had gone with another vendor on this one. We had a coupon, which knocked down the rental price, but we really paid the price in quality and service, to be honest.

One of our groomsmen was from out of town and wouldn't be able to pick up his tux until the night before the wedding, but they wouldn't let the groom pick it up for him and insisted the groomsman go out of his way to get fitted for the tux (when there was really nothing they could do less than 24 hours before anyways if it didn't fit). There was also a dispute about a deposit: we were told that a $50 deposit on one tux would be sufficient to hold our party, but were later told that each person needed to make a deposit. Ridiculous!

The groom's tux was unraveling by the end of the night (cuffs came down on the sleeves and trousers) and despite insisting that his shoes were too small, Classic Tuxedo did not listen and provide him with bigger shoes.

Overall, a disappointment.

Really loved my beautiful wedding cake; almond with grand marnier and chocolate filling! Yum! It was so beautiful, with sugar orchids and a classic white fondant. Ellyn's cakes are delicious and beautiful, and it was the perfect centerpiece to our beautiful day!

I can't say enough good things about Angela. She helped the day move so smoothly even when there were bumps like uncoordinated staff, delays, transportation issues. She helped to put us at ease and we were really able to enjoy our day. Our photos were absolutely beautiful and she really captured the spirit of our fun-loving relationship and wedding day!

We got a really good deal on our limo ($250 for three hours), but unfortunately, the driver was a bit bumbling, getting the door stuck and taking the long routes to and from the church.

The real kicker was when he didn't do enough investigation to realize you don't have to get on Storrow Drive in traffic to get to our location. As a result, we were late for our photos (arriving about 30 minutes after every other guest at the wedding although we left first!) He also made a quick, slam-on-the-brakes stop that sent my groom flying across the limo and thankfully he didn't get hurt.

So yeah, good deal, but I'd pay more next time for a better experience if I could.

OK, this one is not for the uppity. I got my dress from David's Bridal and I'm not ashamed to admit it. My gown was a gorgeous white tulle, lace, and satin Oleg Cassini number that I paid $900 and I was so happy with it; it looked absolutely gorgeous!

SERVICE: You'll find that the staff is extremely accommodating, if not a little annoying, calling you to make sure that everything is OK and trying to book other services as well (bridesmaids dresses, etc.) But they actually attend to your every need unlike other bridal shops who look up their nose at you and try to sell you weight loss products and boot camps on the side.

QUALITY AND PRICE: I think the non-house brand lines (Oleg Cassini, Monique Llullier, etc.) are absolutely gorgeous and on par with the quality you'll see elsewhere. I really can't say the same for the "David's Bridal" dresses, but hey, if you want to pay $250 for your wedding dress, you're still getting a pretty good deal for the quality you are getting, but you shouldn't expect Vera Wang at these prices.

All and all, I'm happy with my David's Bridal experience. Everyone thought I looked gorgeous on my wedding day, and I think so too!

Can't say enough good things about Skipjack's!

FOOD: The food is of excellent quality even when served to a large party (30 people). We were given a choice of four three-course menu options for our guests ranging from $25-40 per person. We ended up choosing the $30 option. Guests chose between a delicious clam chowder, a mixed greens salad or a caesar salad for a first course; grilled swordfish, baked scrod, shrimp scampi, lobster ravioli, or steak tips for a main entree, and cheesecake or chocolate cake for dessert.

My dad is a chef and is usually massively critical of any restaurant, but he had nothing but good things to say about everything. I thought the chowder was creamy and delicious, my swordfish well-seasoned and moist, and the cheesecake was heavenly!

SERVICE: Skipjack's prides itself on its service, and rightfully so. Waitstaff was attentive, brought out the food for all of the guests all at once, and were friendly and helpful.

OPTIONS: We were given so many options for menus and staff was sensitive to gluten allergies and vegetarian requests.

ATMOSPHERE: We were in the front room, which we had to ourselves. It had large glass windows looking out to the street and warm wood paneling. It was comfortable, and we had an excellent time there!

I used this company to buy overstock paper and envelopes to make my invitations. Since they were switching locations, they were liquidating their product and the price was right for high quality paper and envelopes as well as beautiful brown silk pockets.

Their online ordering system needs a little work, and I ended up being charged for paper I didn't receive (a quick call fixed this misunderstanding), but there is excellent customer service, beautiful product lines, and reasonable prices to be had at the White Aisle.

Rude, rude, rude, rude!

I went here in March, scheduling a floral consultation for my August wedding and the best advice I can give to people is to steer clear. The flowers there are absolutely beautiful, but honestly you can get the same quality product from other vendors with at least a modicum of professionalism.

The whole time I got berated for not having a "vision" for my wedding flowers before I went to the florist and not booking an appointment earlier (it was not a problem with the vendor I ended up using). She later got huffy when I asked to see some of the flowers she had in her showroom to give me an idea of visuals. I ended up leaving the florist and asking her not to call me in the future.

I used this vendor to plan my best friend's Bachelorette Party and it was a huge success. We originally ordered a smaller bus (18-person) but since it was not ready at the time of our party, they substituted the massive party bus, equipped with ice for drinks and "party packs" of naughty treats for the girls. We visited three bars/clubs in town without paying a cover and had a great time screaming out the window at passerby, drinking, and dancing. We almost didn't want to leave the bus to go to the clubs since we had a rockin' private party on the bus!

Pros:
-Helpful, friendly driver
-Excellent sound system
-Knowledgeable of the Boston area/party scene
-Coolers, etc. to keep drinks cold

Cons:
-A bit pricey
-Rowdy reputation of the bus tours bars you from using them to enter some clubs
