I contacted Joyce after reading all the reviews but she was booked in advance... Lin, Joyce's assistant, scheduled two of her assistants and they were just amazing.
Rachelle did my hair and Zena did my make up. They are cheaper than working with Joyce and they both did a great job. They also did the makeup and hair for my bridesmaids. (Please see my review for Zena). They both were very professional and very accomodating. Both my hair and makeup lasted the entire day!
I definitely would suggest Rachelle and Zena!
Jeff and I loved working with Joe and Kristi. They shot our wedding on June 2 at Rancho del Cielo, Malibu and they were just awesome.
Joe and Kristi are very personable and they are so energetic. Jeff and I did not want to see each other before the ceremony and they accomoated that very easily. Kristi was shooting my pictures and Joe was shooting Jeff's pictures and they did a great job in organizing that. It was so easy to work with them.
We knew, even before we got the pictures, that they were going to be great because Joe and Kristi made us feel great throughout the day. We just got the pictures and they are beyond what we expected.
Jeff and I suggest Joe and Kristi in a heartbeat!

Zena is great and I highly recommend her.
I worked with Zena on my wedding on June 2 and she did my makeup. She is very nice and very organized. She is very very easy to work with.
She came to the site on time and did the make up of my two bridesmaids and my mum's with no trial in advance. They all looked gorgeous.
My make up was awesome. Zena completed my make up at around 11:00 a.m. and it lasted the whole day - I was still dancing at 11:00 p.m. with full makeup :)

We got married on June 2 and worked with Kerim upon the recommendation of all the brides who wrote on this website and our wedding planners Karri and Courtney. My experience just echoes all that has been said before.
Kerim is great and was one of the easiest vendors to work with. He listened to what was important to us and made it happen, and stayed within budget, which was not much.
Everything was perfect with our flowers. If you are looking for a florist, you should definitely contact Kerim.

We got married in Rancho del Cielo in June and it was definitely the right decision for us. The ocean view is definitely breath taking and awesome. Everyone fell in love with the premise and the views. Our pictures from the wedding came out to be so gorgeous!
The owners of the house, Jill and Sparky, are really nice and helpful, and have done a great job of maintaining the site so nicely that we did not really need much in way of flowers to dress it up. Jill takes care of the garden very diligently and the garden itself is very scenic completed with the marvellous ocean views.
The one thing to note about Rancho is that you need to rent everything. They now have 2 bathrooms available for the guests but everything else (kitchen, generators, tables, etc.) have to be rented. Bridal party has access to the master bedroom upstairs, which is really nice.
It is also not possible for the guests to drive up to the site and we had to arrange shuttles for the guests. That process was very seamless and everyone was able to come up the site using the shuttles we rented. The owners work with the same company and the company is very helpful since they know the site.
Avesta (the site coordinator) was also great during the process but she is typically busy and needs to be reminded of things frequently. She has recommendations for vendors and is definitely helpful with the rentals.
Rancho del Cielo is like a piece of heaven up in the hills of Malibu. If you are considering Malibu, I would definitely suggest Rancho.
Jeff and I cannot thank Karri and Courtney enough. They made our wedding day an utterly unforgettable day. Everything was just perfect and beyond what we thought it was going to be.
Karri and Courtney are awesome and they are very very professional. They are very organized so everything worked so seamlessly before and during our wedding. They organized all of our timelines and accomodated all of our little and very frequent changes... (Thank you Karri!!) They suggested great vendors for us and coordinated all of them throughout the process. When there were the inevitable glitches on the day-of and very close to the day of, they were very calm and handled everything so flawlessly that I did not even know about many of the things until after the wedding.
On top of everything, they are amazingly nice people. They definitely were the best vendor that we worked with and were worth every penny. They are very reasonably priced and they made suggestions for other very reasonably priced vendors. If you are thinking about hiring a coordinator, I would suggest Karri and Courtney in a heartbeat!
