My husband and I were just recently married using The Las Vegas Wedding Company. First of all let me say they were not very friendly in the whole planning process. I felt ignored and almost a burdon to them. I paid in full besides the ministers fees five months prior to coming to Vegas. During the planning I was told probably four to five times to remember our "suggested tips" I was told about $25 each for the driver and minister and nothing for the photographer. When I called the day we landed they weren't even sure what was going on after about ten minutes they realized my wedding was the next day. I asked where to go to get the marriage license and the response was very rude and made me feel very stupid. So finally when we are picked up and taken to the Sundance Helicopter Company we were rushed in to fill out paper work after that was done I was handed three envelopes that was stamped with suggested tip amounts. So we paid our minister fee of $175 but then a tip of $80 oh and guess what the minister was also the driver so he actually recieved another tip of $100 and then the wedding planner that was rude to me before was the photographer and she also recieved a $100 tip. Their suggested tips were $75 and up which I'm sorry but was not deserved at all. So anyway as we waited for our turn to get on the helicopter both the minister and wedding planner sat around and talked about very inappropriate subjects for example money issues and divorce.... not what I want to hear on my wedding day. We haven't seen any pictures as of yet however I'm sure that won't be great since the photographer only had us do one pose in front of a tree and the same pose in front of the helicopter and all of the pictures in the helicopter will be of the back of our heads. So I dont have a problem in tipping however I was not told I should have brought a tip for the pilot. When we were walking out the wedding planner/photographer put her arm out right in front of my face and gave the front desk a $20 to give to the pilot. As far as I'm concerned I should have given her $20 and the $280 to the pilot. He did all of the work and he was very sweet to us. Then we were rushed back to the hotel. In all we spent over $1600.00 for a 10 minute wedding. The experience in the helicopter was amazing and I would suggest Sundance Helicopter Company to anyone. The wedding planner and minister were actually very nice people however they were not professional at all and came off very greedy to me. If The Las Vegas Wedding Company allows their employees to basically rip people off I would never recommend them to anyone. Don't get me wrong I will tip very generously but only if the services warrant it.
