This is in Richmond, VA and is a diy bridal boutique. Essentially- if you can draw it, they can make it. Creations is actually a fabric store where many seamstresses work.
A woman named Vera is working with me to create an Amsale hybrid wedding gown. They make the dress you want twice. First from cheap fabric to see a fit and to make any modifications to your initial design and then the second dress out of the material you buy.
This is a great option for the creative bride who wants to come up with her look by herself and also a special way to take a memorable part in your wedding. My mom and I are actually hand embroidering a piece of the dress to say we made a part together- a special memory for my future kids!
My dress isn't finished yet, but the sample is everything I want!
While I did find a nice selection, the quality of dresses and sewing was sub par. They have great prices though. I didn't want to skimp on quality when it came to the most important dress ummm....ever.
Not only that, but the bubbly consultant I was put with tried to talk me into every dress I tried on. I'm sorry, but if my ass is about to bust the seams of a dress and you tell me its "just perfect" it hurts your credibility.
While this is a good option for some- I ended up designing my own and having it made. Again- I'm picky.
The photographer is actually a good friend of the family, but our engagement photos turned out amazing. He is doing discount packages because he took time off from his photography business for a number of years and is now building his portfolio again.
We don't live in town where the wedding is and he's been great finding times to meet and talk with us on our schedule and when we are in town. I haven't called him once to ask questions, he calls to make sure that everything is handled or to schedule my pre-wedding portraits.

This place has a HUGE selection of dresses to fit all sizes and styles. The women there are friendly and don't obnoxiously ask questions every 5 minutes. When I had trouble getting one of the girls in my wedding to pay, the woman even offered to handle it so that it wouldn't leave any hard feelings having to do with money between my girls and me. SUCH A HELP! Love them!
The good thing is that I can get what I want for a good price. 7 flower girl bouquets, 15 boutineers, 12 corsages, and the bride's bouquet for ~$520. The staff wasn't that helpful. When I asked about colors, they gave me vauge ideas about what I'd be getting and didn't make any real promises. If I hadn't been to a wedding who had used them before, I'm not sure how trusting I would be.

The site is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. It is in downtown Memphis, Tennessee and only a block away from a Trolley stop. It has gothic arches and a wonderful alter.
The staff at Saint Mary's has been quite helpful. It is a bit pricey though. The good thing is that we don't have to decorate it because the inside is so beautiful and ornate on its own.

This is a mom and pop owned store in Charlottesville, VA. It is where we are getting our invitations. The husband and wife who own the store have been so patient with the upwards of 15 hours I have spent asking question, perusing books, and aiding with etiquette. They also will help print thermography invitations if they find it will be cheaper. We are getting 350 invitations (beautiful), response cards, map cards, accommidation cards, and return addresses on our envelopes for under $700! My fiance and I are in graduate school and paying for the wedding ourselves so any little bit helps!

My fiance bought my ring at this store and it is so so so beautiful. They sell rings here for 10% over the price he buys them. We compared similar rings to Kays and BB&B and for the the same quality rings- diamond brokers of memphis had so much better prices. AND I'm really picky. Engraving is only an extra $15.

This is the agency my fiance and I are planning our honeymoon through. Rhonda- our travel agent- is available for 24-7 questions and has gotten us an AMAZING 7 night package with air for $1,000 under our budget. We are so pleased.

Bella Rosa is a fabulous upscale bridal gown boutique. The women there are extremely nice and considerate of your budget. Although most of their gowns are pricey, they have a good selection of sample gowns on sale both online at bellarosabridal.com and in the store. Although I did not purchase my gown here, I felt like I was in good and kind hands the two hours I spent there. The woman working with me was so sweet even when I told her I didn't think that I had found my dress. Excellent experience!
