Wayfarers is a beautiful chapel! I loved the location and ambiance. We worked with Marian as our ceremony coordinator and Reverend Jonathan Mitchell as our minister. Both were absolutely wonderful! Wayfarers is extremely well organized and, as mentioned in other reviews, there are strict policies for schedule, photographers, flowers and limos...but it is all worth it!

We used Dorothy Victor as our harpist during the ceremony. She was recommended by the Chapel and she was awesome. The music was perfect. We loved everything about our ceremony.

We also used Marc Gold of 24kt for the in-chapel videography (and also later at our reception). I highly recommend you use 24kt so you can get great photos from the front of the chapel.

Great website! I used it to find our reception band and cocktail hour musicians. It's a great time saver. The site allows entertainers to contact you with bids, as opposed to you making multiple phone calls. It also allows you to see cost estimates and you can even provide deposits online. It's a great resource for reaching out to multiple entertainers at once. If you have no idea where to start, the gigmasters website is a great asset!

Caroline's so awesome, even the Best Man had to give her a shout out during his toast =). She was extremely helpful and organized, with everything from her detailed checklists to her great assistants.

Caroline did a wonderful job setting up the reception venue, keeping all of us on schedule and keeping me and the hubby calm and sane throughout our wedding day. She's a great coordinator and planner! Caroline made our wedding day soooooo great =)

I cannot recommend Caroline and Serenity Events enough. I'm a born planner and extremely particular with schedules and Caroline was in step with me through the entire process...if you knew me, you'd know that means a hell of a lot!

Cristina was awesome! The flowers were beautiful and I absolutely loved her creativity. I'm not much of a flower person and pretty much had no clue what I wanted, but working with Cristina was so easy! She helped me choose all the floral arrangements and gave me suggestions to work with. She was also willing and able to work with last minute changes to our order.

Cristina was extremely professional and her prices were great! She delivered flowers to the hotel and reception venue promptly. I cannot recommend her enough! Thanks, Cristina!

The Aquarium was an awesome venue for our reception! We had our wedding there on August 15th and our guests could not stop talking about how great the Aquarium was. We worked with Janine, an Aquarium event coordinator, and she was absolutely fabulous! She was extremely professional and always helpful. She was prompt and responsive to all our requests and questions.

Our cocktail hour in the shark lagoon was so much fun! Where else can you munch on appetizers and drink a rum and coke while petting sharks and stingrays?? Everything was set up beautifully and the food was delicious! My only regret was that I did not have the chance to eat more during the reception!

The Aquarium is a beautiful and unique venue. It's a thousand times better than any banquet hall! Even the wait staff that worked our reception was great! They were all so helpful and nice. I had to give them all hugs before departing at the end of the wedding =)

I'm sorry if other reviewers had a bad experience, but I had an awesome experience with Steve and Golden Sounds! We didn't use him for a DJ since we had a live band, but Steve was great with our reception lighting. The venue was gorgeous and he definitely threw in waaaay more lights than we paid for. Steve went the extra mile to make everything beautiful, from the uplighting to the gobo lights for the dance floor. Steve was there for the set up so we got to see him and thank him right before our grand entrance.

The entire planning process with Golden Sounds was great. Our initial meeting with Steve was cancelled last minute, but he went out of his way to meet with me while I was in town on Christmas eve (I'm from DC and was only in CA for the holidays). We met with him a second time before the wedding for a walkthrough of the venue. Steve was always prompt, extremely professional and responsive to all my emails and phone calls. The end product speaks for itself (I'll have pictures up in my bio soon).

Sarah made the greatest cake and cupcakes for our wedding! We met with Sarah for a tasting early in the planning process and weren't really sure how the cake would turn out (especially since I wanted a green cake!). The cake and cupcakes turned out awesome and they tasted as yummy as they looked. Everyone loved the the chocolate chip cupcakes!

The best part was the price! I really wanted a fondant cake, but hated how every bakery I went to wanted to charge us $7 a slice!! Sarah's prices were great! The fondant cake for 150 and 30 additional cupcakes ended up being half the price of what Torrance Bakery, King's Hawaiian and Rossmoor quoted us for a simple buttercream 3 tiered. Thank you, Sarah!

I love, love, love Lisa!! She was so awesome throughout the entire process. I live in DC, but she was very willing to work around my CA visits to schedule my trial/consultation appointment. On the actual wedding day, she was prompt and worked quickly. Even with 12 girls who needed their hair done, she found time to squeeze in one additional person. I changed my hairstyle from what we originally agreed on during my consultation, but Lisa was willing and able to switch it up on the day of. She brought an assistant to help with makeup on the wedding day. Everyone was beautiful! She even dealt with overwhelming family members calmly and professionally (thanks, Lisa!).

Lisa did an awesome job, from the flower girls' hair to my airbrush makeup. She was absolutely wonderful!

I love, love, love mygatsby! Extremely quick turnaround on my invites and it was great to be able to see the proofs online! Prices were very good and I ended up about $400 below my invite budget.

Definitely great for semi-DIY invite projects!

So far we've only done the e-photos, but Joey is awesome. He's hilarious so he keeps us smiling, very laid back and easy to work with. We had our planning meeting with Wayfarer's last month and the wedding coordinators there constantly had good things to say about Joey. If you're having your ceremony at Wayfarer's Chapel, you definitely NEED to hire him! He walked us through our wedding day pictures timeline and he knows the chapel grounds like the back of his hand.

When we had our chapel planning meeting, we happened to be there for a wedding that had just finished. They had another photographer and it was a total mess! There was utter chaos and the bride was yelling for her guests to get out of her photos! Our wedding coordinator was adamant about guaranteeing a scene like that would NOT happen with Joey =)

Our e-pics were great! I can't wait to order some photos and post them! Everytime we call the studio, they're extremely helpful. Every interaction we have with Joey and his staff makes us even more confindent that we've chosen the best possible photographer =)

Our wedding's not until August, so I'll update this review then!

Our wedding was last Friday and we are even more amazed by Joey's work now that the wedding has come and gone. He had us laughing our entire wedding day. He worked quickly and efficiently and was even great at entertaining a misbehaved ring bearer during pictures. Joey provided great direction without making all the smiles and poses feel like a chore. If you're getting married at Wayfarers, you must have Joey Ikemoto for your photographer. Everyone, from the chapel coordinators to the Ministers, were 100% accurate when they told us Joey was very talented and extremely organized. He also has a great staff and offers a wedding registry with their studio. My husband and I are so happy we chose Joey as our photographer. Thank you, Joey!
