Katie did my hair for my wedding in July and I loved it and I loved her. I have to admit I was really nervous about my hair in general because I have had bad luck in the past with stylists but Katie did a perfect job. I could not have been more happy. Also as a testament to Katies character; my mother had some unfortunate acupuncture which caused bruising on her face on the day of the wedding. Even though I had not hired Katie to do make-up, she told my mom she had a makeup kit in the car that would fix her right up. She was so sweet to my frazzled mother and made her look absolutely gorgeous (without visible bruising too!). She is very nice, very fair, and very talented. I would recommend her to anyone!

I received all of my rentals from Aquafuzion and I was kind of disapointed. They came highly recommended and Debbie was very nice. However they were a little bit pushy about getting their money right away and we had already put down a huge deposit. The prices were pretty good but they seemed to change from one moment to the next. My biggest complaint was on the day of the wedding, they showed up almost two hours after they said they would. My coordinator and I made it very clear that we could not set anything up until they got there. She assured me that they would come extra early so that they would have plenty of time to set up. Needless to say they didnt. She got there so late and only brought two guys to help set up for 200 people! My coordinator was so stressed, she even told some of my bridesmaids that she may need them to help set up because it set us back so much. I can't say I would recommend them.

If you are a bride on a budget this is the way to go. Lucilles does southern BBQ food. You can hire them to do drop off or you can have them do all the serving. They do their own set up and take down (their stuff only of course) and they will bring plastic plates, silverware, etc. I rented real plates and silverware and just had them serve the buffet. You get so much food for such a small price and it is delicious. They come out about a week before the wedding to see the venue and find out where they need to set up and everything. Therefore they are very thorough. We were 100% happy with Lucilles. Our contact person Kianna was on the ball and really helpful. Everyone said that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. Not to mention the fact that you get to keep any left overs so we had chicken and tri tip for a week!

I have used Sarah for many occasions and have been nothing but a satisfied customer. She has done many cakes and cookie favors for friends bridal showers. Not only are they adorable, but they are delicious! Most recently, she did cupcakes for my wedding (200 people). The display was gorgeous and so were the cupcakes. Everyone kept talking about how great they tasted. In fact the next day at our brunch, people kept asking if they could have another cupcake for breakfast! Sarah is the sweetest person ever and she is very fair and honest. If you are not sure, just make an appointment and talk it over with her. You won't be disapointed.

We had a wonderful wedding at the Pasadena Museum of History. The location is gorgeous! We were very satisfied with the way our wedding went there. However I have to warn anyone who is choosing this venue that they do not provide anything. You are pretty much on your own. The people at the museum are very flexible and will pretty much let you do it your own way. Just be prepared to hire all vendors outside of the venue itself. They will recommend some but I chose not to use any of the preferred vendors. If you are on a strict budget you have to get pretty creative but it can be done! I recommend hiring the coordinator that they have at the venue (Linda). You don't have to use her but she is great and pretty inexpensive. She knows the venue better than anyone and she is very kind and patient. Overall I would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for an outdoor wedding venue and doesnt mind putting in the extra work.

Renee Broughton is the best photographer ever! I have been nothing but pleased with her and her work. I have taken engagement pics and boudior pics with her. I have no doubt that I will be just as happy with my wedding pics. Hire her quick though because she is becoming more popular by the second!
Update: My wedding pics turned out amazing. I have recommended Renee to everyone I know. Her and Brandon did an amazing job and they are so great to work with.

I had the best experience at Ferndales. It is one of the oldest bridal shops in the area but the people really know what they are talking about and they are so nice. I didn't end up buying my dress there but I took two friends/future brides there to look for their dresses. Both girls had the same experience as me and ended up getting their dresses their. The alterations were timely and decently priced. They are really great at helping you find dresses that look best with your body type too. I would recommend them to any bride!

I ordered my dress from Val Collections after finding that she had the best prices I could find. She was very good about communicating with me. However my dress did arrive a lot later than what I was quoted. I got a little nervous about this but it finally came and it was beautiful. Overall Val Collections was a good business to work with but make sure to order your dress really early!

I really loved the dresses we got from Alfred Angelo however from a business standpoint I can only describe them with one word. Unprofessional! They were very rude, unhelpful and had no idea what they were talking about. At one point when I was asking the sales girl at the counter a question she said "I'm sorry I'm not listening" I would never go back to Alfred Angelo again. If you can avoid using them, I would recommend going somewhere else.
