I ordered silk carnations to use for my pomander balls from Claire's in bulk in baby pink, white, hot pink/fuschia lime green, and grass green.

All colors except the hot pink were just as shown online; the hot pink was a tad darker when i rec'd, but it's ok - i'm going to use them anyway.

Pricing was excellent and shipping was pretty fast - i had to wait a few extra days b/c i asked for all my purchases to be sent at the same time to save on shipping and the auctions ended a few days apart.

I would definitely buy silk flowers from Claire's again.

i love bluefly.com!!

i bought white satin stuart weitzmans & rec'd them soon after ordering.

they double charged my card and refunded it within one day - i didnt even notice until i saw my bank statement - and bluefly sent me a message letting me know what happened.

i will continue to buy from bluefly.

I bought all 4 flowergirl dresses from this online store and would do it again! The dress shipped out fairly soon after I paid for them. I ended up buying a pick-up style dress with a green sash - and I was not disappointed when I rec'd them.

The dress was fairly inexpensive compared to other similar styles in the bridal boutiques.

There were no issues with the stitching or stains or anything like that.

Too bad the girls have to wait a little while longer to wear them.

I went to Trudy's because it was the only store that carried the Henry Roth gown i wanted (and eventually purchased).

Lauren-Beth was my consultant and was very helpful and super nice.

I went on a weekday to avoid the annoying brigade that some brides bring - as in one time i was in there another time and one bride-to-be had 7 people with her - s-e-v-e-n!! There should be rules about that shit!

Anyway, back to my experience at Trudy's - Lauren Beth was super helpful and left me alone to soak in the image of me in the dress... That's the true test of great customer service - there is a time to be chatty and be "around" but there is also the time when you should leave your client alone so she can think and envision her own wedding as she's staring at herself in the mirror with "her" dress on. Lauren BEth understood this, and after 10 minutes or so, popped in to see if I had made a decision.

Overall, Trudy's is a great shop - it carries literally hundreds upon hundreds of dresses - for each price point and style. There is also a wide variety of veils to choose from and try on when you're trying on dresses.

This has been said before, but I hate the crowds at Trudy's. I wish they'd limit the amount of people one bride can bring in - it's so annoying having random strangers gawk at you while you're looking at yourself in the mirror trying to "have a moment".

========================================

My BMs bought their Jim Hjelm dresses from Trudy's next door. Heather was the consultant and to her credit, she was able to keep all 10 BMs orders straight. Each of my 10 BMs ordered a different style in chiffon, and Heather was very organized and super on-top of her game.

Another great incentive at Trudy's is because I purchased my gown ther, my BMs were given a discount on their dresses. I'm not sure if they still do this, but at the time, it was a great deal!

========================================

I decided to give Trudy's 3 stars b/c:
Pros:
+huge selection of dresses
+huge selection of shoes and accessories
+carries many bridesmaid designers/manufacturers

Cons:
-large crowds; there should be a rule about one person bringing in 7 people at a time!!
-most veils and accessories seem extremely overpriced
-other than Lauren Beth, most of the consultants are rude or seem too busy to even OFFER to help

After deciding on having 2 weddings, I decided not to make the trip to San Jose/Campbell to Trudy's again (which is where I bought my first dress) and try out Bride's Corral in Livermore.

What really surprised me was that they remembered me from 2 years ago when my friend got married and we ordered our bridesmaid dresses from BC!

It's tucked away behind a gas station and an antique-type store, and from the outside it doesnt look like much. Granted, there are some outdated styles and styles that are more for alexis carrington type bride (think overkill of beads, tulle and lace). I guess there are stil some brides in the area who still want this stype of dress, otherwise why would they carry it right?? However, Bride's Corral is a Maggie Sottero and Casablanca retailer - which was good enough for me.

I went on a random weekday, so I got all the attention I needed, and the staff was very helpful, very honest and knowledgeable - as they should be - they've been in business for about 20 years now. Granted, they're not going to fawn all over you - and they will give you their honest opinion if you ask them - so beware if your feelings get hurt easily or if you're fishing for compliments - they will be uncensored in their opinions. They are very direct when asked. They also know body types, and if you go in there not knowing what looks good on you - just ask them and they'll pull dresses for you so you can see for yourself if halter looks good on you or if sweetheart neckline looks better, etc...

If you are a bride who is frugal, no-nonsense, and not into having beverages served to you or your ass kissed and you just want basic service - this is the place for you.

The only drawback to this shop is that there are only 2 "principals" who have the industry know-how - the other staff are relatively young in the bridal dress business. Their hours are shorter than other bridal salons also, sometimes closing at 5pm on some weekdays. There isnt really much as far as shoe collection, but they carry the Dyeables brand, so if you're true to size and dont need to try the shoe on, then you can order your shoes from here as well.

So again, I'm going to repeat - if you are the type of bride-to-be who expects everyone to fawn all over you and borderline kiss your ass just b/c you are engaged, this is not the place for you; however, if you are no-nonsense and just want to try on dresses without all the fuss that other salons make, then give this place a shot.
