We stayed here for three nights following our wedding party. It was great! Our room was sooo beautiful! My husband even loved it, and he usually doesn’t say much about rooms. The only thing to consider is that it might be a bit of a drive from your reception venue. We had a cab, and it’s a 30 minute drive from the downtown area of Dayton. I think it was worth it because it was peaceful, it’s a beautiful B&B, and it’s much more relaxing. And it’s easy to get to, so friends were able to visit us the next morning.

They only get 3.5 because I don’t think there was anything extrodinary about the suit my husband was wearing. It was functional, with a black shirt and a white tie. He rented a tuxedo and everything seemed to fit right, but he had a tailored suit made a few years ago and that tailored suit looks much more flattering than a rental suit. It’s partly my fault, I should have gone with him during the fitting and maybe we could have found a suit that fit really well.

We had trouble finding cards that we liked that met our needs. We both wanted cards that were unique but functional, and that looked funky. We finally found the cards we wanted on this website. I no longer see our style of cards, I guess it must have been discontinued. I will say that they have a bigger selection now than they did then.

We did our hair ourselves, but we bought all the clips and hair pieces from Claire’s, the cute accessory store chain that you can find anywhere in America. I usually associate the store with younger girls, like 8 year olds, but they had beautiful flower hair pieces. Also, they had fun feather hair pieces, funky sun glasses, and so many more accessories. They aren’t the best quality, but considering that you’ll only wear them once or twice…ah, it’s fine! And much cheaper than at bridal stores I went to. I paid $5 for a hair piece that was selling for $20 in a bridal store.

I will not give them 5 stars, just because there are hotels out there that are incredible and Super 8 isn’t in the same ballpark as a typical 5 stars hotel. But it’s a functional place, it’s clean, there are double beds and you can pay extra and get a cot rolled in. I think it’s the best option, and you still get great quality service considering how much you pay. We had no problems making a booking, and then adding on extra rooms during the last week.

I understand favors to mean snacks and fun things for guests. I think candies and cookies are fun, and I like gifts that can be consumed. We bought lots of candies and NA drinks for our guests in bulk at Shopko. My mother-in-law insisted that we go there, because they have the best deals. They have good deals, but I’m sure I could have gotten as good deals as at a Wal-Mart. For 120 guests, we spent about $300 on favors.

I think the cake looked pretty and tasted delicious, but I would also say that the cake also looked different than what was promised. We wanted hot pink icing flowers, and they gave us light pink. It wasn’t that big of a deal, but it wasn’t 100% what I wanted. I would say that they were very nice about it, and sent us some cookies as a form of apology. I would also say that John and his team are some of the nicest people I have ever met and had the chance to talk to, and so that’s why I wasn’t so upset that the icing flowers were lighter than I wanted.

I am giving Kohl’s 5 stars because they have the most beautiful children’s clothing, and they have the best sales. I was able to get my flower girls dresses for almost 80% off. The dresses were in perfect condition, it was just the end of the season and so they were on sale. I also was able to get shawls for the mother-in-laws. I think Kohl’s is a great place to shop for children’s clothing, and some accessories. I didn’t find anything formal enough for my bridesmaids.

My sister used to work here, so she was able to set up a wonderful bridal shower. They have a wonderful patio/courtyard, which is perfect for a summer outdoor patio. I thought the whole place looked beautiful! The food is also great! My sister knew the food tastes of the guests, and so arranged a specific menu with prechosen plates. I have eaten here a few times, and I think the menu and food quality is great. I am never disappointed here.

I can’t give a strip club or a gentlemen’s club more than 3 stars, but I think as far as gentlemen’s clubs go, this is a nice one in Dayton. Meaning that there is a bouncer, and that people in there are somewhat respectable. It wasn’t the only place my husband went, and if I had planned his party myself he probably wouldn’t have gone to a strip club, but I might send my other male friends there for their bachelor party. Maybe.
