We got a great deal on both the wedding rings and the engagement ring. The only issue was that about a week before the wedding, I dropped off my three rings to get welded together and resized. I had an engagement ring and two wedding rings, one for each side. We went to pick up the rings a couple days before the wedding, and they were sized perfectly, but they were not welded. I was very anxious, as I wanted them all perfectly together. An employee there acknowledged the mistake, but there was no jeweler there that day who could work with platnim (apparently they are on a rotating basis). The manager assured me that they would be done the next day regardless. Someone then drove the rings to another store that had a jeweler available and we had the rings the next day. Because of that, I will forever get my jewelery from Hannoush.

This place was fabulous. You can rent out the entire 3rd floor, so you have a private space. Also, they allow you to create an entire menu for your party. We chose one pasta dish, one beef, one seafood, and one chicken and they made up special menus. There was no extra cost to rent the place. You just pay for the food, which is pretty reasonable. Most dishes are about $16-$18. You can choose as many dishes as you want. We for instance, didn't want to use the whole menu because there are some items that are really expensive- so you can choose choices that fit your budget.
They will also bring out salads and appetizers family style. As soon as we arrived, there was food on the table, which was awesome. My father-in-law also ordered a number of bottles of wine and when we arrived, they were open on the tables. It was so cozy. Another really cool thing is that we brought in our own cake and they didn't charge anything to cut it.
Overall, the food is phenomenal, I love that you can choose your own items, and the overall cost is very reasonable, especially considering that you get your own private space. The only issue is that there is no elevator to that area. My brother in law just had back surgery and he had a hard time getting up and down the stairs. If you have someone coming that can't do stairs, this may be difficult.

We had a really nice ceremony at Manning. Both of us are Catholic and we wanted a wedding in a church, but we also wanted to have our ceremony near our reception (Brown Faculty Club). So, they allow people of all denominations to celebrate mass there. The price is pretty reasonable too. I think we paid $400. The place is also really intimate. We had 150 guests and the place was full. The building outside is amazing as well for pictures. The great thing is that if you have your wedding there, you can bring in your own officiant. We had my childhood priest marry us.
The only issue that I can think of is there is really not a place to hang out before the ceremony. So, this would be great if you were to just pull up in a limo, but if you get there early, there is no where to hide from guests.

We loved our reception at Brown. The food was exceptional and very affordable. We had different food stations for dinner because we didn't want a traditional seated dinner. They had some cool options. We had a pasta bar, potato-tinis (mashed potatoes in a martini glass with lots of fixins), carving stations, a bruschetta station... among others. Also, the drinks were affordable. The cool thing about the mansion is that there are a couple of rooms in addition to the large reception room if you rent the whole downstairs. A few of the guests like the option of being able to step away from the noise (great aunts...). If you get married in the summer or spring, you can also set up the patio outside, which is really pretty by candlelight.
The only two things that you should know are that the wedding planner takes a while to track down and keep in touch with. The reception ended up being perfect, but there were a number of times when our calls were not returned and that was a little stressful. Also, there is only one bar and one bartender and we had about 150 people. The line at the bar was really long, so if I could go back, I would have asked for a few more drink station so guests weren't waiting.
Overall, a fantastic place! Highly recommend.

Joe is seriously the best wedding DJ of all time. Before the wedding, we met him for coffee and gave him a pretty extensive DO NOT PLAY and DO NOT DO list. We didn't want any line dances, games, hokey pokeys, etc... and he was completely cool with our style. We also had a play list of songs that we really wanted to hear. He said that he would get everything done the way we wanted it. He also gave us some CDs of typical bridal party songs, father of the bride songs, etc... if we were having trouble deciding. In addition, he had a list of the 500 or so most commonly played songs at weddings so we could add songs to our PLAY and DO NOT PLAY lists. It was a good reminder of what we like and do not like.
We had our wedding at Brown University and our reception in the Faculty Club. The music was probably the best part of the reception. Joe used to be a radio DJ so he's awesome at mixing songs. We would be half way into Billy Jean and we'd start hearing a beat or two to Bust A Move. Everyone went crazy. He really is unbelievable. I've never been to a wedding with better music.
