The rehearsal dinner went perfectly. Kim, the manager at the Press Box helped us hire an irish sessions group to entertain, and the upstairs room was beautiful and perfect for an intimate party of about 40. The music put everyone in a great festive mood. The food was fantastic and the service was great. It was the perfect opportunity for our families to meet and mingle before the big day and it turned out to be a perfect irish-themed dinner party. My MIL bought flowers from Chelsea Flower Market (bells of Ireland and white calla lilies) and arranged them herself, but The Press Box staff jumped in to lend a hand. All of the staff were terrific and charming. I highly recommend the Press Box for showers, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, etc.

Sounds of Success worked out great for us. We were able to pick out all of our music online and were presented with our entire music library on CD after the event. Elian did a great job, and we had people up and dancing from the Salad on through the night. Everyone was having such a great time that we extended the reception another hour. At the end of the night, he wowed us all with a surprise breakdancing performance-Wow!

I tell you what. If you are going to have a NYC wedding at a place as spectacular as St. Pats, you might as well go all out and get the horse and carriage! The Byrne brothers of Central park Carriages are a delight to work with. They were very punctual and the horse and carriage looked the fairy tale come true! We had a real blast riding through the city up to the park for photos. People on the sidewalk, delivery guys, taxi drivers, and even homeless folks were wishing us felicitations and happiness.

Steven advertises on wedding websites. We hired him because we loved his photography, his package fit our budget, and he really clicked so well with us personality-wise. He is wonderfully friendly and laid back. He was not at all intrusive, but was always nearby catching the moment. He got some awesome photos, we were able to put together a beautiful album.

Mother of the Bride Dress:

Our family has been doing business with this bridal shop for years. She actually picked up her dress at their Superbowl Sale! They did a fantastic job with alterations and she looked great and felt comfortable.

I highly recommend the MOH-only bridal party plan. Having only one person to satisfy meant that she and I were both happy with the results and she had the freedom to find something she really liked to wear. Elizabeth Bridal treated her very well. She did not require any alterations and the dress looked fabulous on her. And, she got a significantly discounted price over that quoted for the same gown at a bridesmaids gown shop in Manhattan.

I had bought my wedding dress in 1995 during an engagement that didn't pan out (Thank the sweet Lord!!) It is a Private Label by G dress purchased at Bridal Impressions in Toms River, NJ. My mother had it preserved and kept it in the attic all this time. When my DH and I got engaged, Mom brought it down and we checked it out. I still really loved the dress, my FI approved (very important!), but it needed some updating (POOFY Sleeves! UGH!) Based on recommendations from the ladies of the knot, I brought it to Karin Yngvesdotter for alterations. She is a dream. I think I may have been one of her last alterations jobs, she is now doing her own designs exclusively. Karin did beautiful work on the dress, transforming it from a questionable early 90's poof-a-thon to an elegant 3/4 sleeve ballgown-unique with detail just not seen on current designs. I highly recommend Karin, her fabulous personality made her my favorite vendor to work with and her wedding dress designs are really gorgeous. If you are looking for a custom dress-give her a call!

Regina and her saleswoman Dagmara were wonderful to work with. The craftsmanship of her pieces is extraordinary. Everything is custom made and completed in a very short time, considering the work involved. I went with smaller items because of the elaborate nature of my dress, but her bigger pieces are really incredible as well.

I found this jewelry boutique in the Riverwalk area of New Orleans and was knocked out by the jewelry. Swarovski crystals strung on enameled silver Italian wire. My MOH loved the earrings, necklace and bracelet and they looked great on her.

Deb did a terrific job. We wanted a city skyline cake and she executed it wonderfully. The Valhrona chocolate cake with hazelnut ganache and fresh raspberry filling was incredibly delicious and a big hit with the crowd.
