Jennifer was the very first vendor that we hired. I may not have known what my colors were or who my bridesmaids were but I knew without a doubt that I wanted Jennifer Skog to shoot my wedding. How? By the amazing images on her website and blog that I had been religiously stalking for months. Photography was most important to me, and I had been doing my research vigilantly. I looked at every photographer in the Bay Area and was so sure than Jennifer was what I wanted. I only wish all the other wedding decisions had been so easy to make!
And now here it is, two months after our wedding and I can honestly say that she has just blown us away with our photos. I wanted to wait until we had recieved all our photos before posting a review and I am so glad that I did! The emails that have been gushing in from frends and family are all about Jennifer's work! So many people have told me that they are the best wedding photos that have ever seen, and many say that they look as if they should be in a magazine. People stop me on the street (I live on a small island) to say that someone forwarded on my photos and that they can't believe how gorgeous they are! One friend of mine who lives in London said that she isn't dating anyone, but has decided that when she gets married she is flying Jennifer Skog (whom she has never met) to London to take all her photos, because she loves the images SO much.
I should warn potential Skog brides that once you get your slideshow, you may be utterly useless for a couple of days! I just keep watching my slideshow over, and over and over....
Jennifer not only creates the most stunning, heartwrenching images.... she is also a complete pleasure to have around on the day of. She is absolutely hysterical, fabulously outgoing and very charming. I left my wedding feeling that if I lived in California that Jen & I would be buddies. I have since found out that most brides also feel this way.
If I am ever back in California, I am rushing to Jennifer & Maria Chang to get my couture boudoir photos done!

Our wedding was at Viansa on August 14th, 2008. We had the most wonderful site coordinator named Laura, who really helped make our wedding so special.
Viansa was so incredible. Not only is it absolutely stunning (our guests were sooooo blown away), but they are great to work with as well.
Laura worked with me non-stop over the past nine months to ensure that everything ran smoothly. She was so quick to answer emails and questions (the wealth of knowledge she has about weddings there is amazing).
The food was yummy, the service impeccable, and the wine extremely drinkable!
But most of all, they just knew what they were doing. The staff were equipped with walkie talkies, which they used to ensure that everyone and everything was in the right place at the right time. Everyone was extremely professional and courteous. Viansa took away so much stress for me, for which I am so grateful.
The beauty of the location really is breathtaking... it felt like we were starring in our own film, everything was SO perfect.
Maria, Maria, Maria....
I don't even know where to begin. If you can afford her, then hire her. It will be the best wedding related decision you ever made!
Maria made me more beautiful on my wedding day than I have ever been before in my life. When I look at photos, I just can't believe that anyone could make me look like that!
Maria not only works magic on the physical aspect of her brides, but she also helps with the emotional. I was so nervous on my big day, but she was just such a pleasure to be around. She has a very calming effect on everyone, and is also extremely funny!
Maria arrived at my cottage at noon, and spent the rest of the day with me. She touched me up during photos, forced me to drink water (with a straw!), assisted my photographer and so much more. Maria even fixed one of the groomsmen's jackets! She carries around this magic bag full of everything that one may need if something goes wrong; sewing kit, stain remover, safety pins... even an EpiPen!
Maria was also great before the actual day. I had an amazing trial at her house, where three hours just flew by because she was so much fun... She is also extremely prompt about answering emails/ questions.
My only regret is that I can't have Maria do my makeup/ hair for every event that I go to!
Becky was my fairy godmother!
She did the alterations on my dress 3 days before my wedding!! She did the most amazing job, and only charged $175! Becky took in my dress (alot), altered the shape a bit and totally redid the bustle (adding the cutest button).
Becky was so nice to deal with, she even drove to my cottage to do the fitting. She had my dress ready in less than 36 hours!
I really just cannot go about Becky enough! I was in tears before she arrived because my dress needed so much work done. She pretty much saved my wedding.

I bought a beautiful gown at their sample store. I loved my dress so much! The one thing that I wasn't crazy about was the bustle... I had to totally redo it. The size also seemed off, I had to do a lot of alterations once I recieved the dress.
Nicole was absolutely amazing!!!
She did the flowers for my wedding on August 14th, 2008 at Viansa Winery. She did 7 bouquets, 7 bouttonieres, 1 hairpiece, 8 centerpieces and 1 extra large head table centerpiece. The result was breathtaking and looked abut three times as expensive as it actually was (thanks to Nicole's very fair rates).
I am an extremely fussy person, and flowers were no exception. For Nicole to have met and exceeded my expectations totally blows my mind. She even found me peonies in August for my bouquet because she knew how much I loved them!!
My centerpieces were tall vases with submerged white orchids and then tall silver manzanita branches with hanging votives and white orchids intertwined. The head table had a more elaborate centerpiece- natural manzanita branches weaving all over the table with tons of votives and lots of huge white orchids. My other vendors were shocked to hear that I paid well under three thousand dollars for all my flowers. My guests were bowled over bythe flowers, especially the quality and size of the orchids.
Nicole was a complete pleasure to work with, she traveled all the way out to Viansa to meet us onsite (and this was before we even hired her!), and throughout the entire process she was quick to reply to my emails and answer any questions that I may have had.
I have viewed her website and don't think that it even begins to do her justice, so as soon as I get pictures, I will post them here. If you are interested in her, you should also check out the flowers she did for the Una Bella Sera event (go to: http://augiechangphotography.blogspot.com/2008/04/una-bella-sera-at-casa-real-pictures.html ), they are simply to die for!
I honestly just cannot reccommend her enough! If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing about the entire experience with Nicole.
