Along the way in our planning process I met MANY MANY vendors. Some just weren't out style, weren't in our budget or just were not available...that's just the way things go!

I did however have one very negative experience with one of the dress shops I considered for my gown:

Virginia is one of the owners and the only person who works with brides. She is extremely unprofessional, rude and I ended up losing over $1500.00 on a deposit for my wedding gown. I would never recommend this shop to any brides.

After paying the deposit, Virgina refused to let me take pictures of the sample gown and told me that the dress was made "exclusively" for her shop and that she could not give me the designer name or number for the gown for me to find pictures online.

I was really disappointed that I would have to wait until my first fitting to ever see my gown again. I was also upset that my little sister who was away at school would not get to see my gown.

When my Sister was back on break, I called Virginia to try the gown on once more and to bring along my little sister. This was 2 months after I had already paid my $1500.00 deposit (50%).

Virginia proceeded to call me a "crazy bride" and said her shop would be closed "all week, for Inventory". My sister and I decided to drive by the shop on a Saturday, since we were in the area and the shop was open for business.

When I went in and asked if I could try the sample gown on for my sister, Virginia called out to another one of the owners (her sister). "Can you help this crazy bride, she just HAS to try on her gown one more time" in a very sarcastic tone. When I was trying it on and asking my sister for her opinion, Virgina then said to me " if you can't decide if you like the dress and you need this much reassurance, how can you be sure your marriage will even last?".

I was completely appalled by her remarks. Needless to say, I began searching for another dress hop immediately and found another gown that I was completely happy with.

Virginia NEVER called to let me know my original gown was in. She Never called to schedule a fitting and didn't call me until JUNE (my wedding was in April) to ask me "when I planned on coming in for my gown".

She was terrible.

5 star luxury all the way! THE Royal was an all inclusive resort. The restaurants were VERY good. The food was better than I ever expected (not just chicken fingers, burgers and fries by the pool side for lunch...which is what a lot of all-inclusives offer).

The drinks were yummy, that staff was friendly and attentive. Room Service, Mini Bar (which was far from Mini) and 24 hour snack room, with champagne, gourmet cheeses and a full bar and more were ALL included as well.

THE royal has a private beach. It was a 2 second walk to the chic "South Beach like" downtown. Cobblestone streets, cute, trendy lounges and restaurants and high end boutiques (Gucci, Prada, etc.) were MORE than we ever expected in Mexico, but Playa del Carmen had it all!

We chose a Junior Ocean View Suite. We were torn between Ocean View and Ocean Front. We were very happy that we ended up going with the Ocean View. Once we got there, we realized that the Ocean View rooms had a lot more privacy than Ocean Front. We could have drinks on our balcony and no one could really see us. With the Swim up Suites and Ocean Front Suites it seemed like you would be a little more "noticeable" so we were happy with our choice.

We booked through CheapCarribean.com and got an awesome rate.

She was amazing. Maria is a perfectionist and went all out for my makeup trial and even more so for my actual wedding day.
Maria made me look beautiful, flawless, glamorous and just totally awesome on my wedding day. She came all the way from Bergen County to Lambertville NJ for me and then had to go ALL the way back so she could be at work. She was so great for doing that for me, as many other make-up artists I contacted wanted to charge an astronomical traveling fee.

Janney was good. My trial was a little better than my day of, but with the veil, you couldn't tell the difference. I was the only one who knew it wasn't exactly the same anyway.

Nick did my sister's hair, it came out great, considering she decided to chop it all off a week before the wedding!

My Mother also had her hair done at Zanya. All of the staff was very friendly and they got us in and out on time!
The Salon is beautiful too!

They had a good selection. The prices were right. The girls there are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend anyone in the area to use them for their Bridesmaid's Dresses

I worked with Patty and she was great! They were very friendly, worked within my budget and put up with all of my craziness while I was searching for "The Dress". The seamstress was great, never had an issue with alterations and I loved my dress!

Since we had guys from NJ, PA and MD, the MW worked out best for us. The tuxes were in on time, everything fit perfectly and with the online coupons, our guys only paid $69.99 for their rental (this included everything! even socks!)

We ordered our Birchcraft invites on line. They were easy to work with and they shipped the invites to us within 5 business days. The first set of invites we received had some typesetting problems. I called and they printed and shipped the New invites to me within 2 days. Their responsiveness and quick turn around was impressive. They were very inexpensive and high quality invites.

Working with Rich was awesome. He is a true musician and completely understood what we were looking for in a Wedding Band. We were totally against "over the top" wedding bands. We did not want the band leader to MC our night. We didn't want smoke machines, light shows or flashy tacky outfits! We simply wanted a classy, tasteful band to set the mood for our night.

We used New York Rhythm, one of his smaller Bands (7 pieces) and could not have been happier with our choice. They were a True Class Act! Very entertaining and very professional.

Linda was super! We hit it off from our very first meeting. She had great ideas and listened to my likes and dislikes. She was very easy to work with and reasonably priced. Linda delivered the flowers to my venue herself. She traveled over an hour for me. She decorated my cake with fresh flowers and the bouquets and centerpieces came out exactly how I envisioned. She stuck with my budget and she is just really friendly and easy to work with.
