Elite Cake Creations...THE MOST IRRESPONSIBLE cake business on the face of this earth! I chose this company to make my wedding cake after I had tried one of their cakes at a friend's birthday party and loved it. I went for a cake testing with my mom and mother in law and loved it so much that I gave the deposit ($198) that same day. The cuban elder lady that I met with at the company assured me everything was going to come out great. Two weeks before my wedding I went back and paid the remaining balance of $600. We went over the final details including the day and time of delivery (12-1pm on November 24, 2012). The day of my wedding Elite Cake Creations never delivered my cake!!!! We called and called and called and NO ONE ever picked up the phone. We left them messages on Facebook and still did not receive a call back. NO ONE bothered to call us to explain where my cake was. My best man had to run to Publix and buy a cake from them so that my husband and I could take pictures with a damn cake. These people ruined my night! Just when you think it can't get any worse....... My mom, aunt, and mother in law showed up to the business that following Monday. The owner tells them that the driver didn't leave the bakery until 5pm (my reception started at 5) and that on his way he got pulled over by a cop due to speeding and that the cake toppled over. On top of that, the guy supposedly had a warrant over his head so he was arrested. The owner did not find this out until 8pm, but yet she did not bother to call me or anyone else to inform us of what had happened. After my mom, aunt, and mother in law ripped her a new one, the owner gave my mom a check with NO FUNDS!!! My mom had to drive back and wait untill she came up with the money. If this happened to me it can happen to anyone else!!! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT pick this vendor!!! Your wedding day is waaaaaaay to special for some irresponsible vendor to come along and ruin YOUR day that you planned for so long.
