Ann catered our wedding to outstanding reviews from our guests. In fact, people liked the food so much we have been asked to get the recipes and her contact information. She was very helpful in the planning and suggested some great ideas. Much like the review below weeks after people are still talking about the food and saying it was the best wedding food ever!!! We can't wait for our next big party so she can provide the food again.

Also important, she was incredibly affordable and the rental company she uses was much less than any other prices I had seen. Finally, the service was also outstanding and a lot of personal attention was given to all of our quests which we really liked.

We also took the wedding workshop and found it a good starting off point. We later took private lessons three total and we actually pulled off a nice dance. The Dance center is now called something else because there is a new owner but I am told them have the same wedding workshop.

We went to Maui for our honeymoon and we could not have wished for a better location. We have been to Maui before and we like that we can get in the nature element with lots of outdoor stuff to do but we can still have great dinners and its not a far flight from CA.

We stayed at the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa. We had heard mixed reviews but they took care of us and provided us our true dream vacation. Everything was perfect from the free champagne to the fabulous room and amazing dinners. It was truely paradise and we are already trying to figure out if we can wait till our 5 year anniversary to go back.

Kay is amazing. I love her designs and she is incredibly friendly and helpful. Our wedding is coming up so I will report back with photos but the planning process has been wonderful and she has emailed back and forth as we have come up with ideas for our wedding. Not only is her work wonderful but so are her prices. Her website doesn't give you much indication of what she can actually do but set up a meeting and she brings tons of photos to in the process.

All I can say is I love cakework. I have ordered her cakes for years at either bridal or baby showers. She also sells at the organic co-op grocery store Rainbow market here in San Francisco. She is a busy woman like described below but the cakes are awesome and I wouldn't question her design abilities. I really like that she doesn't use fondont and every cake I have gotten from her gets rave reviews. For my law school graduation party she made me a peanut butter cake that was nothing less than amazing. Check her out, she is worth the price.

Jill Branch blew us away with the tasting. My FI was really into the cake, he is a dessert nut, so we have been to many different tastings from the very cheap to the outrageously expensive. Jill's personality and work put everyone else to shame. I have purchased cakes from cakework before and Jill has them beat. Prior to meeting Jill we were planning on going with another vendor whose work was wonderful and just the sort of statement we wanted but at three times the price for the same basic design that Jill was also able to give us. Additionally, Jill's cake was much more moist and the flavor selections of cake and filling were perfect for us. Before you try another vendor get in touch with Branchingout Cakes. I emailed them and received an immediate response.

As an update, the wedding was amazing and the cake stole the show. It was a work of art and when I asked people if they liked the cake they said yes, I had several pieces!!! I knew that was going to happen so I ordered extra. We had the chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and rasberries and a white cake with praline cream. Both were equally amazing and needless to say we did not save the top of the cake but instead had it the next day when people came over to our house.
