Their office isn't anything to write home about, but Sandra at Directional Strategies was very friendly and knowledgable about Sandals resorts. She was able to answer all of our questions and had many pictures to show.

Sometimes our meetings with her were a little awkward. She seemed to get a rise out of putting us on the spot.

In the end, she ended up getting us a very good deal on our trip to Sandals Grande Antigua. I doubt I will even go to a Sandals again, but that's not Sandra's fault.

The service was good and the selection was decent. They weren't much help when I was trying to decide between white and ivory shirts for the guys (my dress was blush pink), but they DID keep up with me when I was calling to change my mind every other day.

All the guys got their tuxes on time and they fit great. They did, however, complain about the price being a little high.

We booked EE because their price for the coach bus was SO much cheaper than any other quote we got.

The driver was rude, and the air conditioning didn't work, but the limo was on time and got us where we needed to go.

I would book this company again, just because it was so so cheap and it got the job done.

We stayed in the mediterranean village and were upgraded upon arrival. Our room was brand new and breathtakingly gorgeous. The bathroom was especially beautiful- solid marble with a jacuzzi tub (which we didn't ever use..haha)!

We had a lot of fun meeting new friends and participating in honeymooner activities. Met one couple that we still keep in touch with.

Food was just ok. We enjoyed the japanese steakhouse the most.

Vendors on the beach were annoying.

Sandals gets old after about 3 days. If you are the kind of person who likes to experience new things all the time, this is not for you.

If i had it to do over again i would go to Hawaii and stay at a non-all-inclusive or I would take a long European vacation.

This was our big splurge and worth every penny!!!

Gary, the band leader, was so friendly and helpful. Not only did they take care of the dance music, but with a little playlist guidance, they handled all of the cocktail, dinner, and afterparty music as well.

They played all of our requested songs, announced everything at the right time (toasts, bouquet toss, etc), and told us not to worry about a thing. They had it all under control.

We really wanted a swing orchestra, but were nervous about how our guests would react. Turns out we had nothing to worry about. The dance floor was full ALL night. people were raving for weeks afterward about how it was the best wedding band they have ever heard and it was nice to have something different from the run-of-the-mill DJ. We were looking for a vintage feel for our wedding, and the rhythm society orchestra really haped us take our guests back in time.

We are still receiving compliments about our gorgeous wedding at the DYC. Everything was absolutely amazing. The service, the food, and the atmosphere were all top notch. Their wedding coordinator was pleasant to work with, and she made sure everything was just how I wanted it, right down to every little detail. Their pricing was very competitive for everything that was included. I love that tax and gratuity are already added in to the per head price!

This site also offers many scenic backdrops for photos!

When the wedding process originally began, I was going to wear a family dress. One day, when shopping with my girls for bridesmaid dresses, they talked me in to trying on a few. The atmosphere is so casual and relaxed at Gina's, it seemed like a fun thing to do. There is no pressure, and the place is so warm and inviting. While I was there, I tried on many beautiful dresses. She seems really selective about the dresses she carries and it is really more of a boutique than a bridal shop. I put on carmela Sutera 364 and fell in love. When I took it off, I looked at the price tag and my dreams were quickly crushed.

For weeks after that day, I could not stop thinking about the dress. After some research, I discovered that Gina's is the only store in Michigan that carries Carmela Sutera. I tried on some similar dresses by other designers but they weren't the same.

I emailed Gina and begged her to sell me the sample. I knew it was a long shot but it was my only hope. She emailed back proptly and said yes, she could sell it to me for 30% off, and she would even stay open late so that I could come after work and try it on again. She was so so accomodating and friendly. She wanted me to have the dress almost as badly as I wanted to have it!

I went back that evening, tried it on, and took it home with me.

if it wasn't for Gina, I never would have found or been able to have my dream dress.

She is the best!

I ordered my bouquets, bouttonieres, corsages, centerpieces, and chirch flowers through Westborn, and boy did I make a great choice. They really specialize in fresh, natural looking arrangements, which happens to be just my style.

Nicole was a dream to work with and seemed to understand exactly what I wanted, even if I had trouble expressing it.

I wanted to do peonies for my June wedding, in mostly white.

My dress was a blush pink color, so when I asked if she could mix some blush pink peonies in my bouquet, she said she couldn't promise anything, because you never knwo what color pink peonies will be when they show up. The pinks can range from soft ballet pink to barbie hot pink.

When my bouquet was delivered on the wedding day, it was the most beautiful mixture or white and blush pink (EXACTLY MATCHING MY DRESS!) peonies I had ever seen.

Everything arrived on time and perfect. I would recommend this vendor to anyone.

This was one of my favorite wedding vendors. My girls tried on dresses locally and fell in love with a Dessy After Six style for $210. They also wanted to have a sash made so we needed to order extra fabric. If we would have ordered through the bridal shop, it would have been about $250 per girl.

I found the dresses at pearl's place for $129 and was able to order the extra fabric through them, too. By the time we added everything up and included shipping, the cost came to about $145 per girl, so each of them saved about $100.

All of the dresses came in the correct sizes, about a month early. The extra fabric came perfectly too.

After my experience with Pearl's Place, I think people who buy their BM dresses at bridal stores are nuts!

I used the wedding shoppe for thw following services:

1. Alterations A: Michelle is a miracle worker. I was nervous about turning my satin designer dress over to her, but she made it fit me like a glove. She is so great at what she does. She is patient, listens well to suggestions, and works with you to make sure that you are 100% thrilled with the results, no matter how many fittings it takes.

2. Veil: The women there were not very helpful in helping me choose a veil, and in the end, I wasn't sure I made the right choice. The only nice part was that I was able to try on veils with my dress while I was having my alterations...pretty convenient. In the end I was happy with the quality of the veil, but it did cost me an arm and a leg. I think i could have done better somewhere else.

3. Shoe dying: I ordered my dyables online and then had the wedding shoppe color them. My dress was a rum pink color, so I was really nervous about the shoes matching just right. They were right on with the color and they turned out perfect. Pricing was reasonable, too.

4. Dress pressing and stuffing A: Expensive but worth every penny. They kept my dress safe and sound until the day before my wedding, and when I picked it up it was perfect and ready to wear.
