I apologize for length but I really feel it's necessary to fully document the atrocity that was my experience with Rebecca from White Aisle. Please skip to the end for the conclusion if you're short on time :)

Also note that most of the positive reviews are from people who have only purchased jewelry/accessories.

I ordered: Invites with vellum inserts, insert cards for invites, place cards, and thank you cards

Gorgeous invitations. Rebecca (the owner, along with her husband) is really visually talented. That's where my praise for The White Aisle ends. My invites arrived at my house two weeks before my destination wedding. I ordered them a little late (started the proof and sample invite process in the first week of March) but I figured that because she was making my proofs with my wedding date of June 12 she new that the wedding was close by. She was having some medical issues at the time, and instead of telling me this and warning me that my invitations might be late (or alerting me so I could switch vendors) I had to find this out by reading her blog after I had paid for my order. (Incidentally, in her blog, she talks about how when she is going to the doctor she always warns her costumers and doesn't accept orders... well not in my case!) Things deteriorated to beyond repair when I wrote her a polite email asking her when my invitations would ship and if she had any recommendations for express shipping. She told me that the shipping she uses would take 5-10 business days (I live in Australia) and that if I wanted something else, I was free to research it. (This option would mean I would get the invites AFTER my wedding date, and she knew this, no apology, no help, nothing.) Expect this type of answer from her often: do it yourself. I asked for her help with wording my RSVP postcards early on and her response was essentially the same "let me know when you've decided on your phrasing." I decided to drop the RSVP cards because I started to realize that something was off here, customer service wise.

Ensue crazy calling to FedEx and DHL at all hours of the night to try to research overseas shipping options. After I realized it would be about $300 to have FedEx send my invites in a timely manner to Australia, I arranged to have them FedExed from Rebecca's house in New Hampshire to my Maid of Honor's house in Texas so that she could address them and send them (as many of the invites were going to my U.S. family). I wrote Rebecca an e-mail letting her know I needed the approximate weight, size of the container, and her pick-up address to arrange delivery. She confirmed NONE of these things, so I went with the address I found on her website. (Which is correct.) She told me the invites would be ready to be picked up by FedEx on Saturday the 23rd of May. So I called FedEx and arranged the pick-up, delivery to Texas, and set up an account with FedEx so that ALL REBECCA had to do was give them my account number which was linked to the other information. (I didn't want to give her anything to mess up.) I e-mailed her to let her know they would be picking up on Saturday. She replied by saying they wouldn't be open on Saturday the 23rd because Monday was Memorial day so they would be closed, and the order would be ready on Friday the 22nd in the afternoon. So I called FedEx again and scheduled the pick-up for 2-6 pm Friday. I wrote Rebecca to tell her it was all in place. Then she told me it would not be ready until 5 pm on Friday. (!!!) So I called FedEx AGAIN and rescheduled the pick-up.

All would be OK I thought.

Then.

The next day (Friday the 22nd) I had no update from Rebecca, as expected, so I emailed her to ask. Then she tells me, yes they picked it up but that they had the wrong address, and the wrong paperwork so she made them go back and get the international paperwork and gave them my Australian shipping address. She authorized for them to express ship my invitations at $300 to Australia. I replied and told her this was because it wasn't AN INTERNATIONAL package, but it was going to Texas and that she had just authorized a HUGE charge on my credit card. She was unapologetic. She told me she was leaving for the day, and that I could call FedEx and try to re-rout the package. (Seriously, I never got a sorry out of the woman, not ONCE! Not even for me having to call FedEx about 45 times and arranging my own account.) So, I called FedEx again and tried to re-rout the package. It was unable to re-routed. It was delivered to Australia and the next day I mailed all the invites out myself, no dramas, but now I've been charged $140 by FedEx when the original charge I authorized was $70 for my package to be shipped from NH to Texas. So now I'm speaking with FedEx to try to get some or all of that charge back as I had the order completely setup and they were not to take delivery instructions from Rebecca.

CONCLUSION: Some of the most appalling customer service I've ever experienced. I seriously thought I might have a bridal aneurysm. I spent 500 minutes on my calling card calling FedEx in a 48 period just to arrange, rearrange, and then attempt to re-rout the package due to Rebecca's mis-information and lack of courtesy. Finally, if she would have tried to be at all helpful or courteous or apologetic during ANY part of the process I might not have written such a virulent review, but in this case, I think it's completely warranted. I do NOT recommend this vendor, she will only give you a headache that you certainly don't need as you plan your wedding.
