Stacy Pitt came to my apartment to do my hair the morning of my wedding. She is a real pro and does excellent work - and at reasonable prices. Plus, she is a cool chick. Highly recommended.
We ordered personalized matchbooks and crazy straws from foryourparty.com and they were both a big hit at our wedding. I first made the mistake of ordering personalized matchbooks from the weddingchannel.com's wedding store. Hoo boy, what pieces of junk those were. They arrived scratched up and the materials felt flimsy. I returned them for a refund. I had read good reviews of foryourparty.com, so I decided to give them a try - and at this point, I was less than 2 weeks away from the wedding and getting a little anxious about it. From start to finish, ordering from them was a joy. Yes, you will pay more (the prices were double what I paid from the wedding channel store) but there is NO comparison in terms of quality. The foryourparty.com matchbooks were sturdy and gorgeous, to the point where people were taking more than one with them as keepsakes from the wedding. We chose to get the luxe gold tipped matchbooks in coordinating shades of copper/bronze with metallic letters and the results were out of this world. The customer service is also amazing - when I wanted to adjust the font size after I placed the order online, the customer service rep helped me sort it out with no additional charge. The delivery arrived quickly and in perfect condition.
It's true, you get what you pay for - and foryourparty.com is worth the extra coin.

Natalie and the rest of the Capriccio Ensemble are wonderful. We worked with Natalie to map out a non-traditional ceremony playlist, consisting of current pop hits in string arrangements. The results wowed the crowd! Everything they played sounded elegant and beautiful, yet it also had a playful touch. During the cocktail hour, we played some "standards" so we can vouch that they are versatile as well. Classical, contemporary, jazz, pop - you name it, they can play it!

DJ David Swirsky is terrific! Not only does he know exactly what to play to keep the crowd dancing, but he is also a super nice guy. We got a ton of positive feedback about the music all night long - and the dance floor was PACKED from the very first song. He has an extensive library of music and also an innate sense for the crowd's mood. David was literally the first vendor we booked for our wedding and all it took was one conversation with him to know we had found "the one."

Rose and Doris provide terrific value and lots of personalized attention. They did a beautiful job at our wedding and worked very hard to make everything perfect. They gave us suggestions to keep costs contained but never compromised on style and quality. We highly recommend working with them - their business is a family affair and you'll be treated like you are one of the family.

Prestige catered our 180-person wedding and did a fantastic job. We highly recommend working with Alan Schonfeld. Most of our guests were not kosher, and everyone said that the food and presentation was amazing (and that they wouldn't have known it was a kosher event). We stressed that presentation was very important to us and Alan and his team came through with wonderful, stylish, modern ideas that wowed our guests. Most people seem to go to weddings expecting that the food won't taste that great, so our guests were bowled over with the flavors and choices presented to them.
All in all - we HIGHLY recommend Prestige for your next event.
If you need a wedding photographer, RUN, don't walk, to book Danny. We can't say enough good things about him. First of all, he's a cool guy, so working with him is laid-back and enjoyable. Second of all, what an eye he has. Every photo he takes is gorgeous. Even the outtakes are beautiful. Finally, don't just go by us - the first reaction we get from most of our single friends who have seen his photos is "I want him to shoot my wedding!"
If you are lucky enough to pick a date for your wedding when Danny is available, BOOK HIM!
Peter and his vintage NYC taxicab were an important part of our wedding day. Peter met us outside our apartment building for our "first look" photos. We have lots of gorgeous photos of us posing near/in the cab, whose shiny, perfect condition and bright yellow/black coloring added a dose of sparkle to our day. Peter also drove us to the venue, and we got lots of cheers/clapping from passerbys on the street as our chariot drove us through downtown Manhattan. Peter also suggested that we write "Just Married" on the back of the window, which also yielded some terrific photo ops. Filmcars gave us a little piece of NYC magic on our wedding day and we're very grateful! Peter is a wonderful guy and a pleasure to work with.
