My husband and I were absolutely thrilled with the work Sarah did for our wedding. Initially we hired her for three monogram variations, but we were uncertain as to which color scheme to choose. Sarah went above and beyond, showing us multiple versions of each. She responded immediately to my emails and was always friendly, polite, and organized. We soon decided to have her design water bottle labels, which were a big hit with our guests, and at the last minute, we also asked her to create a custom cake display sign that looked amazing!

When it came time to choose a limo service, I contacted quite a few companies. We only needed a limo to pick up the groom and groomsmen at a nearby hotel, bring them to the venue (less than 10 minutes away), then pick up my bridesmaids and myself (15-20 minutes), and drop us off. Since our ceremony and reception were at one place, and since we already had a getaway car at the end of the night, we were only requesting their services for less than an hour. Every other company that we contacted required at least three hours, which resulted in an exceptionally high cost. Sterling, however, not only charged us a far lower rate, they also discounted us for having our wedding in the summer (aka not prom season) and for having it on a Friday night. They were significantly cheaper, but the service didn't suffer for it at all.

Christina was always informative and got back to me right away with any questions, and our driver was professional and polite. The day of our wedding it rained, and our driver managed to manuever a 10 person limo backwards up my parents' narrow driveway so that I wouldn't have to get wet. He came over with a massive umbrella and made sure that my girls and I were dry for the half a minute we had to get to the car.

The ride was smooth and the car was immaculate. My only complaint was that the driver took a longer route to the venue than necessary, but I think I was only hypersensitive to that because the groomsmen weren't ready on time and had made the limo late to begin with. Late groomsmen, of course, are not Sterling's fault ;)

All in all, we were very satisfied with Sterling Limo and would certainly recommend them to other couples.

As soon as we got engaged my husband and I created a list of what we wanted in a venue. It seemed unlikely that we would find one fit our lengthy requirements. We needed a place for a beautiful outdoor ceremony, but also an equally beautiful Plan B for bad weather. We wanted a large venue that still felt personal, with separate rooms for a top shelf cocktail hour, a loud and exciting reception, and also quiet conversations. We hoped for a place with private grounds, a wedding consultant, delicious food, stunning décor, signature cocktails, and an overall elegant feel. As soon as we visited Manor House at Commonwealth we knew that it was perfect for us.

Throughout the entire planning process, our wedding coordinator, Jenn, was amazing. I truly cannot imagine what this process would have looked like without her expert advice, answers, and assistance. She was so patient with my (constant) concerns and enthusiastic for my plans. On the day of my wedding an entire team worked to make sure that everything went smoothly, and although I was devastated that it rained, the staff created the most stunning indoor ceremony space. Our guests raved about the endless hors d’oeuvres, the top-shelf open bar, and the four course sit-down dinner. We were told on multiple occasions that it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. The servers were so attentive and professional, and having parking valets made our guests feel important from beginning to end. I was so disappointed to see the night end – I wish I could marry my husband at Manor House over and over again!

I was a pretty picky bride: I interviewed SEVEN florists before I chose Rhoads Garden. I had an exact image in mind of my bouquet, my bridesmaids' bouquets, and the overall decor, and I was worried that no one was going to be able to match it. However, Shannon and her staff were phenomenal. She was very agreeable to working with the centerpieces I had already begun creating and put them together on my wedding day for me. She listened carefully to what I wanted in all aspects, made creative suggestions that I loved, was so patient with my requested changes, and executed a gorgeous wedding.

The initial plan was an outdoor ceremony with large arrangements, petal lined aisles, tulle wrapped chairs, etc; unfortunately, it began raining that afternoon. That didn't stop Shannon from recreating everything indoors so effectively that many of our guests didn't realize that that wasn't the initial plan! My bridesmaids' bouquets that (for cost) were going to be "small" were larger than some bridal bouquets I've seen! And my bouquet was exquisite. I desperately wanted peonies, and despite being a July wedding, Shannon made sure that I had them. The flowers themselves were gorgeous, and by wrapping my mother's handkerchief and my late grandmother's rosary around the handle, I had my perfect bouquet. It was so perfect that Shannon created a lovely toss bouquet for free so that I didn't have to give away my real bouquet during the anniversary dance! Overall, Shannon thought of everything.

We had a difficult time choosing a baker, but in the end Lochel's was the perfect choice. They easily had the best flavor selections, both for cake and for fillings, and Kathleen, the woman who met with us for our tastings, was so patient and pleasant and accommodating. We had a specific design in mind, and I was worried that they wouldn't be able to execute it properly in buttercream (my husband is vehemently opposed to fondant). However, on the day of the wedding I was so thrilled to see how absolutely gorgeous it looked! Everything was perfect - they gave excellent attention to detail. It looked just as wonderful as it tasted. More than a few guests said that it was the best wedding cake they had ever eaten. We also loved that they made adorable gluten-free chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with our initials decorating the tops for our guests with Celiac disease. We strongly recommend Lochel's to any couple searching for their dream wedding cake.

There are a lot of things to love about Steven Singer. My husband chose my engagement ring from their store, and he had a wonderful experience. He said that they were never pushy, even though he came back a few times and stayed for a while before making a final decision. The salesman he worked with, Greg, also is the salesman we worked with when choosing our wedding bands, and he is wonderful: very knowledgeable, patient, and pleasant. All three of our rings are beautiful, and we love wearing them. There were some negatives though. We chose what we wanted engraved inside our wedding bands, but when we received them, both had small errors. My husband's ring is titanium and difficult to re-engrave, and the store insisted that it couldn't be redone the way we wanted. However, with some serious pushing on my part, they managed to figure out a way to do it. We also were rather stressed when, the night before the wedding, one of the five diamonds in my husband's ring fell out! However, Steven Singer was very accommodating, and that morning a groomsman drove the ring to the store where they immediately repaired it.

All in all, we do like Steven Singer and will likely continue to shop there. My husband even bought me diamond stud earrings from there as a wedding present, and they are fabulous - very beautiful and stay in place no matter what I'm doing. My engagement ring and wedding band have also been very secure, and I love that I can return to have them cleaned and rhodium dipped free of cost any time that I want. Oh, and there are beverages and freshly baked cookies every time we come in, which makes me want to have it cleaned and redipped quite often!

Mike Rossi and East Coast made our wedding so fabulous! From the beginning we were thrilled with their affordability, prompt responses to all of our emails and phone calls, and willingness to accommodate us. We decided to have uplighting and props in addition to using their traditional DJ services. Every aspect was well beyond even what we hoped for. The reception room looked AMAZING with the lights (and we had more than we expected! I recommend that everyone have uplighting!) Mike was a wonderful MC and kept things running smoothly. He followed our Do Not Play and Must Play lists perfectly, and he knew how to judge the crowd so that he was always mixing up the music to keep people on the dance floor. Mike's assistant did a fabulous job getting everyone up to dance, from "Thriller" to a congo line. I tend to be a nit-picker, but there is not a single thing that I can complain about. I wholeheartedly recommend East Coast without reservation!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Pat Taggart. He was one of the easiest vendors we worked with: quick to respond, very organized, and completely comfortable answering all of our questions. He arrived early to the venue to make sure that everything was properly set up, kept out of everyone's way during the ceremony and reception, and stayed until the last song. Our guests barely realized that he was there, but the finished video shows that he captured every special moment. He also has a true artist's eye: he knows how to frame scenes and events beautifully. I am so thankful that we hired him - there are so many things my husband and I didn't even get to see during the rush of the day, and this gave us the opportunity to see what we missed as well as to relive the greatest parts of our wedding.

If the high quality of his work and wonderful personality aren't enough of reasons to book Pat, his prices and turn-around time should be. He is very affordable (much more so than other Philadelphia area videographers of the same high quality), and he guarantees that his DVD will be ready in two weeks. In our case, it was four days! We returned from our honeymoon to find that everything was just waiting for our approval!

We used Ashley's for just about every aspect of our wedding attire: my gown, all of my bridesmaids' dresses, my mother's dress, all alterations, and all tuxedos (groom, groomsmen, fathers). Aside from a couple minor (AKA easily fixed) issues, everything went exceptionally well. The owner, John, was always so pleasant and accommodating. He also has a fabulous eye - I was convinced I wanted something completely different, but he selected a gown for me "just to try" and it was absolutely the one! (I also found that same gown at a nearby salon, and it was about $300 cheaper at Ashley's :)

John's wife Connie does the alterations, and she is definitely competent with a needle and thread. She did an excellent job with everyone's dresses, and when there were things we weren't happy with, without hesitation she was willing to make the changes that we requested. Overall I was very pleased with Ashley's.

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Father Jim. My husband and I were very fortunate to have had fantastic, professional vendors for all areas of our wedding, but Father Jim was probably the best person we worked with out of everyone. From the beginning he was so very accommodating - because of him, our ceremony was personal, beautiful, and meaningful. He was confident and knew what he was doing, but he also included us every step of the way. I loved that we had input as to what he said, the non-traditional readings, writing our own vows, etc. And because we didn't marry in a church, it meant a lot to our religious family members to have someone incorporate God into the ceremony. During the cocktail hour, Father Jim was the star - everyone, religious or not, wanted to talk with him!

Before our wedding day, I would have said that he was ideal since he is one of the only priests who will marry a couple outside of the church; however, after our wedding, I'd say he's ideal for that reason and so many more. Thank you, Father Jim, for making our ceremony so incredibly special.
