We went with Magnet Street for our save the date magnets and cards. While I found the process to be a little slow (5 weeks from the time I place the order til delivery - maybe I'm just impatient?), I'm very pleased with the final product, as were our guests. The magnet carrier cards were made with thick quality cardstock and the whole presentation had an incredibly professional feel to it.
Based on all the high marks ULC Limos got from other brides, we booked two limos for the wedding party along with a party bus to shuttle all our out of town guests from the hotel to the church and back. We Angelinos are used to the crazy freeway traffic and my NYC relatives can't understand why they can't take the subway everywhere.
The 4 stars rating is for the fact that they were 1/2 hour late in picking up the bridal party, and we had trouble tracking them down to ensure that both limos would be there, instead of just one. Ultimately, it worked out and they were completely adequate for our simple needs.

We chose the Biltmore as our home base (though we live in LA already) since it was so close to our venue. It also adds to the whole "Old Hollywood" look we were going for. Many of our out of town guests stayed here the entire week and had a wonderful experience. We blocked off rooms a few months in advance, and were able to get a really great deal.
The guest rooms were beautiful and spacious. Everyone was in awe at how nice they were. We splurged on a suite, and the group coordinator made sure we got one of the newer rooms. When we realized that we needed an extra table in the sitting area, they brought one up within minutes.
The week of the wedding the staff was so friendly and accommodating - even though we hadn't checked in yet! From distributing gift bags to dropping off the dress and everything inbetween, they couldn't have been more helpful.
We even took pictures in the lobby and gallery bar, which they opened up just for us early in the morning. My mother hosted a brunch the next morning at Smeraldi's restaurant - it was buffet style, so everyone could wander in and eat when they woke up. The restaurant was big enough to hold everyone and the staff was great. It really topped off the entire experience. I love this hotel!
I met Paola through mutual friends, who had been at her wedding and raved about all the unique touches she incorporated. Since she is in high demand right now, she was unavailable on my date - BUT she still emailed with me several times and gave me invaluable advice when it came to negotiating with my venue. To find someone with her insider knowledge and smarts is rare - to find someone like Paola is even rarer!

Reene is a spitfire and a total pro. Total, my alterations cost under $200, and that's including the final steam and press, major zipper work, tightening straps, adding bra cups, hem, and bustle. In the end, my dress fit me like it was made for me, and that's all thanks to Reene. Her work speaks for itself.
The Little Brown Church in the valley is a historical treasure, very quaint and their doors are always open. 24 hours a day. Their wedding packages are very reasonable, and the entire staff is friendly and easy to work with. They were able to customize our ceremony and play specific non-traditional songs we requested. While the pews only seat 75, they can add chairs to either wing to accommodate over 100 people. For us, it was the perfect location and choice.

We called John the Monday before our wedding to help us arrange our first dance - while we didn't have time to memorize a routine, his staff was able to teach us the basics as well as a few impressive beginning/ending moves that made everyone think we knew what we were doing. John himself came out to watch our progress and practice with us - it was great fun, and made all the difference in our first dance.

The Oviatt was our dream venue, and the entire staff worked very hard to make it a reality. On the night of our wedding, we were completely taken care of, from the moment we walked in the door and found someone waiting for us with a glass of champagne. The event manager, Adelmo, is incredibly professional and responded quickly to emails and calls.
A few clarification facts: the rooftop holds 125 for a seated dinner; we had 90 guests and it was comfortable. They do not use outside caterers, but are serviced by the Cicada restaurant downstairs, which is incredible food and a high class of service. Overall, they were a pleasure to deal with and an amazing venue.

My husband and I are cupcake fiends, so when we were looking for our wedding cake we tasted at places all over L.A. Sarah had by far the best tasting, freshest cupcakes at the best price. She was a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire process, was quick to respond to emails and ideas, and the final product was incredible! She perfectly captured the style we were going for and all of our guests commented on how beautiful the cupcake designs turned out. And, if it's any indication of how good they were, the table was picked clean at the end of the night!

Rob is an immensely talented photographer - his work speaks for itself, but as a recent bride and client, I can tell you honestly that his pictures are amazing. He perfectly captured all the little moments in the day and tirelessly worked to get all the shots. One of my family members told me that he was practically climbing the wall during the reception to get the best angle. I couldn't be more thrilled with the final result - best of all, the pictures were posted up on his site before we got back from the honeymoon, so that all of our relatives and friends could see.
