Bakery Gingham did a really great job with the cake. I also got cupcakes from them for the bridal shower. Between the tasting, cupcakes, and wedding cake, I tried several different flavors and they were all amazing! We had a three tiered round cake, with different flavors in each tier. Such a great price for quality of what you get!

My husband (then boyfriend) and I shopped for my engagement ring at Worthington Jewelers together during their spring bridal sale. They have an great selection of diamonds, and we were able to get a really good quality diamond for a great price. The ring came in very quickly, too! I also went back to get my wedding band and they gave me a discount because I purchased the engagement ring. The owner is very friendly and the rest of the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. It was great to shop at a local store rather than a chain; I'd definitely shop there again!

Wedding Paper Divas did a fantastic job with our invitations. We shopped online while they were having a special with free color customization and were able to control every aspect of our invitations. They looked fantastic; the colors were rich and the printing was top notch. The invitations were delivered while we were out of town, and they weren't there when we returned, although there was a note saying they had been delivered. I panicked at first, but I called Wedding Paper Divas and they sent us out a new box free of charge and settled the issue with the shipper without us having to worry about it. Very professional!

I live in Columbus, and after an unsuccessful day of dress shopping there, I took a trip down to Bridal & Formal with my mother. They have a great selection of plus size gowns, but it is a little cramped in there. At first, the girl helping us didn't seem very friendly, but she warmed up. She was extremely knowledgeable about their selection: when I said I liked the bottom of one dress and the top of another, she was able to recall that they had a dress that fit that description... and it was the one I ended up with! They also had a great range of prices, so it is possible to walk out of there with a dress under $500.

Trying the dress on at B&F was a little bit irritating, because they don't have enough dressing rooms for each bride-to-be to have her own. One of the other consultants got really snippy with me when I told her I was using the room that her client was in--but my stuff was in there, so I think I was justified. The area where you can take pictures (after you've chosen to buy the dress) is right in the front of the store, so it's a bit awkward.

My bridesmaids also got their dresses at B&F--they carry/can order the dresses on dessy.com. Unfortunately, the bridesmaid department is not nearly as friendly as the bridal department. Every interaction/phone call I had with them was unpleasant.

Working with Alison was really great. I chose to do airbrushed makeup and I don't regret it! At the trial, I got to see exactly how it would come all together. I have really stubborn "allergic shiners" under my eyes (dark circles!) and she made them disappear! I rarely wear anything on my lips, so when I showed my parents and fiance after the trial, their only comment was that the lips were slightly too dark. I emailed Alison asking if we could do something lighter, and she brought the perfect gloss shade the day of the wedding. The makeup lasted throughout the evening, even though I had an outdoor summer wedding AND we got caught in the rain. I would definitely recommend Alison for your wedding.

Fermata did such an amazing job at our wedding. We had the jazz trio for the first portion of the reception, then switched to a swing band for the remainder. We got so many compliments on the band: my uncle, who is a musician himself, said they were great and that it was the best wedding he's been to. Another friend thanked us for not having to hear Soulja Boy! It was really a special touch to have live music on our big day.

Mitch was fantastic to work with; our phone conversations prior to the wedding were very informative, and he was flexible during the reception. He found me at several points during the reception to ask what I wanted to do next. It was so helpful because everything is such a whirlwind. I would DEFINITELY recommend them.
