In a word Snobs. They didn't acknowledge we were in the store. Didn't offer any suggestions and weren't really wiling to show us too much. Another couple came in that were dressed to the nines and they went to them. Just because someone likes to be comfortable (jeans and t shirts) when they go out doesn't mean that they aren't they to shop.

I was given a very old beautiful engagement ring. Finding a wedding band to match has been an adventure. Lynden Park Mall in Brantford was the place to go, they have 4 jewellery stores so we thought this might be the place. We were right. My fiance and i had tried 3 of them (not to mention the 5 others we tried elsewhere). The last one was Charms, the staff was helpful pleasant and didn't care that my fiance had come with me from work and wasn't exactly looking his best. They treated us with respect unlike some. They got their books out and helped us on our search. In the back of the showcase another employee found for us the set that would become ours. They match my ring as well as each other. We have not only found our rings there but the jewllery store that we will keep going back to.

Not being a woman who feels comfortable in the big satin dresses, but willing to give it a shot, i took my maid of honour and hit the road for bridal boutiques. We went to The Proper Topper in Caledonia, i must say ladies this is a homey little place that makes you feel welcome. They listened to my likes and dislikes and helped me accordingly. Not knowing me as a person she could even tell what i was comfortable in and what i wasn't without me having to say a word. They dug way in the back to find me the perfect dress that was in one word "me". My visit was a long one but very comforting and successful. I got more than what i paid for going to this quaint little shop.

This vendor was very easy to get along with. They are extremely helpful and their prices are compartive to most. They suggest what they think might be more appropriate for your venue and help with colours and matching. They think of the little things as well. Knowing the venues in the area, (whether they have water glasses or not) comes in very handy for someone who doesn't think of the little things. I highly recommend this vendor.

I found this vendor to be unprofessional. I went for a consultation for a wedding cake and she didn't remember i was coming. She had no samples that were promised and i had to go back to get them. Thinking she was having an off day (as every one does) i stayed for the consultation. As we were designing the cake that i had envisioned she told me i was being too picky as i mentioned that shells would be more appropriate on the sand side as opposed to the water side. Then she decided that other designs off the internet would be easier for her to do,(someone else's) I went back to pick up the samples and was extremely disappointed. They were very dry. I took my fiance back to meet her, she met us at the door passed the samples through and quickly shut the door. The flavour ideas were intriguing to us however, we were disappointed with them as well. The one that we thought would be really nice and light was her pink lemonade, the lemonade settled on the bottom and seperated from the cake.
This vendor was a god send! Anything i needed help with she would do, she keeps in touch with her brides on a regular basis. The minute you place your deposit she keeps the weekend of your wedding just for you. She does one wedding a weekend to give her brides the undivided attention that they deserve. She takes the flowers and looks at them against your dresses 2 weeks before the wedding to make sure that they arent too big or too small. If you want them longer she will add to them. They are artificial decorations that can be used as centerpieces after the wedding. Some are porcelein in appearance others are jewelled fabric. The flowers will be done and in my possession one week prior to the wedding. If i need help at the hall she will be there. I highly recommend Dianne to anyone who wants a keep sake for afterwards or to put it in a shadow box with your invites. She is a friend through all the ins and outs of planning a wedding.
