It's a bit expensive (considering that it's just an added cost to the postage) but it's a really cute idea, and I think that it adds to the card! I had seen this product offered at the post office, and then I decided to look it up. It's better to go to the site than buy the software from the post office because you will most likely need to have more than 20 stamps. We special ordered 150 stamps for the invitation cards that we sent out. We uploaded cute pictures of us, decided which one looked better as a stamp, and then ordered. Everything arrived on time, and we got lots of good feedback!

I think my mom and dad stopped trying to cook for big parties about twenty years ago. For my bridal shower I initially threw out the idea of a pot luck: there was going to be at least thirty people, including my friends and cousins and family members, and it wouldn't be easy preparing food. My parents didn't like that idea as much, mainly because you never know what people would bring. My mother just went to the Costco and bought big cases of crackers, cheese, cookies, nuts, and drinks. They bought different marinated meats to grill, and my dad did all the grilling. Everyone loved the sishkabobs, which were just delicious. It worked out great because there was lots of food and everyone was able to find something that they liked! You do need a membership to get in, which my mom does have.

My bachelorette party was a bit more adventurous than Jordan's bachelor party at Hooters. It was a long, fun-filled day and night that started with a stop at Boudoir Lingerie with my girlfriends so that I could have something for the wedding night. The staff was really friendly, and I think that it helped that we went sober. It's a funny enough experience as it is, and buying wedding night lingerie with your best friends is pretty hilarious. Slightly expensive, but it was their gift to me and I loved what I got. They followed this up with a nice dinner at one of their houses, and then we went to Sirens Lounge. This place is really nice, even better when you're wearing a feathered crown and a tank-top that says "it's now or never" in diamonds. The bartenders were really nice, the crowd was in a great mood. We danced and drank all night long, and it was an amazing night.

From our house, it takes about 20 minutes or so to get to Hooters. That being said, I'm really happy that this was the place his friends decided to take him. From what they're willing to tell me, they just filled him up with beer, chicken wings and sliders and watched sports. They all said the waitresses were "hot". I have been there a few times, but will never go again since the last time I was there my chicken wing still had feathers attached to it, even though it was deep fried. The waitress just took the chicken wing and brought me back a new one on a clean plate. Yuck. I still have to give them 5 stars because most of the guys who went with Jordan love the chicken wings, and wouldn't let a little feather get in their way. Also, it's a pretty clean place.

This place has some of the best pizza in the area, and it's also very kid friendly. Because of the number of children under the age of 5 that are now a part of our family (between Jordan and I, we have seven nephews and neices) we decided that it would be good to have a family dinner/lunch before the wedding at a place that made simple but good food. Bella Monica has some of the best pizza and flatbreads in the area, and I think I could live off of the neopolitan pizza for the rest of my life. The sauce is good, and the cheese is of such a good quality. We made reservations, but I made them over the phone rather than through the computer. I explained that we would be a party of about twenty, and wanted to know if we could have the patio area. I think because we were aiming for a Saturday afternoon, the owner was really nice about letting us reserve the area. I would estimate that with drinks, it was about $15-20 per person. There's was lots of pizza ordering, zitiz, I really recommend the spiedino and the shrimp scampi. And order lots of pizza, it's really worth it because you can just bring the leftovers.
The Garden was referred to be by one of my friends, and I have gotten my hair colored there before. The staff is really great, friendly and outgoing, and I asked whether or not they would be able to do the hair and make-up for my wedding party. I was able to book this in person because I was at the store at the time, but usually you contact Shea through email. They were able to do the hair and make-up for me, my bridesmaids, and my mother. We had an appointment earlier about what styles we wanted, and we all looked great. It was exactly what I had hoped for, we all looked fresh and clean. My mother was the only one with big puffy hair, but that's what she wanted.

This is a really beautiful gallery filled with incredible pieces of artwork. I like going here, I love going to museums, and just seeing really beautiful art and crafts. This was where my engagement ring was bought! Jordan really surprized me, because his styles are much more practical than my own. I assumed that if he ever were to get me a ring, it would be very plain and simple, very traditional. Instead, he surprised me with this beautiful ring, different bands woved on top of each other with precious stones. The person who made the ring, an artist by the name of Barbara, makes beautiful jewelry, and has such wonderful taste and skill. My ring looks magical, and I love knowing there's only one of its kind in the world. I would really recommend going to the Gallery and looking at the jewelry there.

This was where Jordan had to go to get fitted when he was a best man, so I think the choice of where to go for his suit was already made in his mind. The first time he had a great expereince with the staff, and he said that they were just as good the second time. Because there are so many locations, it meant that the other groomsmen didn't have to travel all the way to Durham to make sure that their suit fit. I don't know how much it costs to be fitted for a suit, but Jordan said that the price was good. He looked handsome, and because they were having a sale on regular suits and clothing, he even bought some new clothes and now looks neat and handsome all the time!

I found out about Vista Prints through one of the wedding sites I looked through. I loved it! We were able to get save-the-date cards, invitation cards, and RSVP cards and seating carts for so inexpensive! The quality of the cards was also excellent, which is why I recommend Vista Prints! I loved how everything matched, and I found it was so easy to order the cards from at home. I had my sister proofread everything I wrote for the inside of the invitations, just to make sure there were no typos or anything of the sort. The cards arrived in about two weeks (I used the less expensive mailing service). I've never heard of a person having a problem with VistaPrints. Also, this is a much cheaper option than trying to make the cards yourself.
We used the postcards from vistaprint.com as our save-the-dates, but we found that having a website was very helpful to many of our friends. We were able to post links to local hotels, maps of how to get from the church to the reception hall, and also put up a few pictures. People loved it! We made the website and emailed our friends the link, asking us to send us their mailing address so that we could send the save-the-date and invitation cards. I don't think the whole world is ready to go for just digital wedding invitations, but I can see it happening some time in the future.
