Lisa McGhee-Filice was awesome and a lifesaver for our wedding flowers! My original florist became ill just 2 weeks before our wedding. When she heard of my dilemma, Lisa contacted me and offered to help. I'm so glad she did our flowers because they were beautiful. We had orange callas which were not in season in July, but Lisa found the best ones and made gorgeous BM bouquets adding orange roses. She also got me the most wonderful orchids for our centerpieces. She is very knowledgeable about flowers, made the process so smooth, and offered a fantastic price. I would recommend her to any bride.

Sally Lacy and her mom do amazing work. I was flooded with compliments on our invitations. She does all custom letterpress work. She will not work from a design you've made. She is incredible with tight budgets and will go above and beyond to make the most beautiful paper products for you. She did our invitations, programs and place cards.

Connie is a great photographer and a sweet person. She will work hard to give you the photos you want. She gets lovely sweeping overview shots and beautiful detail shots. She does a mix of both traditional portraiture and photo journalistic styles. She does both well, but tends to do more of the former. Connie was adaptive when our time line got off. If she has one weakness it might be taking enough shots to get the best facial expressions or angle. My husband is in a wheelchair and she was very sensitive to his needs. She thought in creative ways to get wonderful photos for us considering this challenge. We did help her with ideas, as well. She does both engagement and wedding photos.

Soiree Wearable Art has beautiful vintage and vintage inspired dresses and accessories. It is a small boutique with one of a kind, one or two copies of most available only. So if your size isn't on the rack you might not be able to get it but they might be able to make you something similar. The staff is helpful and friendly. The store does not overcharge and can make custom pieces to your wildest dreams. No parking lot and it is on College Ave in Oakland in a busy, safe shopping area.

My husband is in a wheelchair and this is a great place to marry if someone celebrating will have mobility issues. They have chairs instead of pews which can be moved into any configuration you like. The sanctuary is semi-circular and beautiful. The left hand side is taken up by large windows looking out on Lake Merritt. The front of the church is paneled with lovely Tiffany glass murals. Almost everyone there is helpful, efficient and understanding. They set you up with a day of coordinator, you cannot bring your own. We had some trouble with ours but the facilities manager is very capable. They do not have air conditioning so keep that in mind! Our wedding day was quite warm!
