When I met with Susanne, I had a great time discussing flowers with her. I brought her pictures of things I knew I wanted, and she had pictures to show me when I wasn’t sure what to pick. She was very helpful and I had a great experience. She suggested many fabulous flowers, and even though she was a little pricey in some areas, I was very happy when we left. However, when the big day came, I was not pleased at all with the flowers. We used her for the rehearsal dinner, and the sage roses were dying before the wedding even started. The centerpieces were beautiful, though not exactly like we discussed, so I was pleased with them, and I LOVED the bridesmaid’s bouquets. However, my bouquet, which cost a lot of money, was straggly, and not really what I thought it would look like. All the flowers in it were healthy, but it was not very pretty. Overall, Susanne was great to work with, and super friendly, but be VERY specific with what you want and make sure that if the flowers die before you walk down the aisle you get a refund!

Denise from Dante Design was the seamstress I used for my wedding dress. She did an amazing job! She took my dress in a size and put in a three point overbustle that stayed in place ALL night! And, she gave me an amazing deal on it. I was very pleased with her, she was very friendly, flexible with times, and does great work!

Rachel from Pink Sapphire Makeup did my makeup on my wedding day. She showed up on time and did a good job on everyone’s makeup. The makeup didn’t run and it looked nice, but it was a little expensive, and the lipstick she used was very messy to reapply. I would recommend using her, but there might be makeup artists just as good for a little less money.

I used Michelle Joyce from Signature Salon as my hairstylist on my wedding day. I couldn’t have made a better choice! Michelle wanted my day to be just as perfect as I did. I have really long hair, and Michelle took the time during my trial to make sure we found the perfect style for me. Then on the day of my wedding, she showed up with so many beautiful hair accessories, I ended up changing from the ones I brought to the ones she brought with her! Michelle did my hair, which took and hour and a half, and 6 others and was done right on time. My hair came out amazing and everyone still comments on how intricate my hair was. Michelle does great work and is very pleasant to work with and I couldn’t recommend her more.

I wasn’t sure how to pick a Justice of the Peace for our wedding. We met with a few and almost went with another JP before someone recommended Jerry Penberg to us. He met with us in Nashua, and as soon as he started talking to us about the wedding, we knew he was the best choice. Jerry came with stacks of different vows, poems and readings. He had some many questions and comments, but most importantly he wanted to make sure things were done the way we wanted…even when we were sure exactly what we wanted. He’s a very nice and easy to work with. Our ceremony was beautiful, and everyone still talks about what a great job our JP did. I had absolutely no problems with Jerry, we loved having him in our wedding – I can’t recommend him highly enough!

I had a good experience with La Quinta. When I first blocked the rooms with them, they were actually a different hotel. But they took a lot of care to notify me in advance of the change to La Quinta and because of this there were no problems associated with the hotel change. They answered all my questions and were nice to work with. They did not offer me a complimentary room for my wedding night, which I was a little surprised at, but we had a good room rate, so I was pleased. One floor of the hotel was under construction, but no noise was noticeable from any work being done. I’m not sure what the hotel looked like previously, but the work they were doing was nice, and the hotel rooms were in great shape. I did have a small issue with the front desk. I made welcome baskets for all of the out of town guests, and apparently not everyone was getting them, even though they were all listed under our room block. Also, they were handing some of the baskets to hotels guests that were not there for our wedding. That was very irritating to me, because no other wedding party there had welcome baskets, so it should not have been that confusing. So, if you block there, elect someone in your wedding party to hand out welcome baskets because the front desk can’t handle it. Other than that we loved it there!

When my husband and I saw the Terrace Room at the Granite Rose, we fell in love instantly. The chandelier, the outdoor space, we just loved the look of it all. So, we booked with them and had an excellent overall experience. The way they do the tasting is great. They fill up their ballroom with customers, and let you try almost everything on their menu. And, we were even able to bring my parents with us to try the food. All the employees were friendly and helpful, and their prices were decent. My only dislikes are that they hold two weddings at exactly the same time! They are so obsessed with the time and won’t like you change it, even by a half hour, to stagger the two events. So, I arrived at the exact same time another bride did (weird!) and guests didn’t know which event to go to. I heard some crazy lady from the other wedding tried to rip into my card box because she put it in the wrong card box. So I think that made it very chaotic in the beginning. Their backup in the event of bad weather is OK, but they should consider some other alternative. Overall, I loved the location, everyone raved about the food, and the staff was very friendly, however, if you’re looking for a venue that just has one wedding, you’ll need a lot of guests to combine the two ballrooms.

Working with Rob was great. Not only did we get a fabulous DJ with a great personality, invitations were included as part of our package. And the invitation selection was amazing! The prices are along the middle, during our search I met with more and less expensive DJs. Rob met with us and we worked out all the songs and activites we wanted to do and everyone had a great time. When we watched the wedding video after the wedding we saw that people were up dancing all night long! We were very happy with our selection for DJ, and highly recommend Rob Peters Entertainment.

We had a candy buffet at the wedding, so everyone’s table card was attached to an empty candy jar for the wedding. I found jars at www.thejarstore.com . I belive the jars are actually intended for making candles, but I found this site and they had a great deal on covered jars. The prices were the best I’d found for anything comparable. They offer a bulk discount depending on the quantity ordered. I think one or two jars were broken during shipping, but they included a few extra so it worked out perfectly. Of course the jars were not sterile, so I had to wash them all first, but they served our purpose well. There were no issues with the order, no backorders, and everyone loved their favors!

I got candles for our wedding at cudge.net. They had the best deal for candles and holders that I was able to find online. Their website was very user friendly, the candles lasted all night (~ 4.5 hours), even though they’re only listed as 3 hours of burn time. The shipping was great, very fast, and not a single holder was broken when we got them in. They were also very durable, as they were transported several times after we got them and still none of them broke. Great deal for the price! Highly recommended!!
