We checked out the Greek as a possible place to hold our rehearsal dinner. We decided against for a couple of reasons:
1. the food, while not bad, was sort of eh.
2. ambiance - it's basically a big open room and we were told that our party of 20 would have to be set up smack dab in the middle. Not exactly great for toast-giving.
3. prices...a bit high for what they offer
on the plus size, the location can't be beat. It's right on Ventura Harbor close to hotels and the beach
Giz at Mimosa Salon has been a dream to work with so far. I need extensions for my wedding and she's been nothing but super helpful in trying to find the perfect hair and hairstyle for me!
My coordinator told me about this place because she knew I was planning to do a lot of DIY. Well, I have been downtown, to Joann's and to Michael's and none of those places has the selection that Fabric Barn has. Tons of ribbon in every shade and size and the prices are unbeatable. So totally worth the drive down to Long Beach!

ummmm, not a huge fan of this store, Felt rushed through and only felt like I could try on a couple of gowns. Ended up not buying here, mostly because of how uncomfortable I felt.

We did a cake tasting at Skiff's and we were really impressed! The cake was moiwst and delicious. They ended up being a bit out of our price range, but you should definitely check them out!

My wedding hasn't even happened yet, but I just had to write this review now. I'm sure I'll add to it after the big day:)
From the beginning of this process I fancied myself a "do-it-yourselfer" and never thought I'd need a wedding planner. Then I heard of this amazing thing called a DOC! After some research, both here and on other sites, I decided to reach out to a few different coordinators and ask about their services. Carina from Tealight got back to me so quickly, and I had even met with her before some of the other coordinators even responded to my initial emails!
We decided to hire Carina right after our first meeting, and she's already helped so much! She's gone above and beyond what we hired her for and is always so quick to reply to any email or phone call. So far she's been a pleasure to work with and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a little extra help!
