We made a donation to a charity that works on getting clean water established in Africa. We gave each guest a water bottle with a card on it indicating our donation in their honor with a brief explanation on what BloodWater Mission was. It was a hit... and was personable because charity is a big interest of me and my husband.

This was a very nice event when we first started figuring out what we wanted in a wedding. They did a fashion show so I could look at styles of dresses. We got ideas on what the guys should wear. We looked at different catering. It was a great jumping off point... and we got the chance to try and win many different prizes. The only down-side was that we kept getting spam calls for awhile. Overall, it was worth it.

We bought clothes for the groomsmen at Target. They had sizes for everyone in a very affordable price, and those that you couldn't find the size at the store could easily be ordered from Target.com and shipped fast and inexpensive. It's easy.

They have discounts if you are a member of the church. We had an airconditioned room. Tables, chairs, linens, projector, screen, kitchen were all at our disposal. We did have to set up tables, serve our own food, and put back the room the way that we found it, but it was a huge money saver and with some christmas lights and decorations it really dresses the place up. There is an elevator for those that can't do steps either.

I spent $75 for a quick practice hair and my hair for my wedding. My stylist did an absolutely amazing job. I gave her a couple guidelines but let her be creative and it totally paid off. I got so many compliments on my hair... and it stayed in and looking beautiful the entire time with no touchups!!!

We spent part of my bachelorette party at Mojo's in downtown Grand Rapids. It's a piano bar that is spacious with 2 floors. The piano player takes requests and brings the bride up on stage. Wednesdays have very cheap drink specials as well. I suggest going a little early if getting a table is what you want to do.

I spent $20 on a do-it-yourself card kit at Walmart. It worked wonderful. I spent a few dollars more on ink for my printer but I was able to spend minimal money and make a very unique and personalized invitation for my guests.

We ordered a small 2 tier cake (enough for the bridal party) and it was only $40. She met our expectations to what we wanted the cake to taste like. She even asked for samples of our wedding colors and matched the frosting to the wedding flowers and colors perfectly.

This is a small bridal store in Cutlerville, MI that has awesome service and are very dependable. They have a large selection of dresses that you can order in almost every color. They only have 1 size of a dress to try on, but if it is too small to try on they hold it up and show you exactly how it would fit in your size. They were very timely and had good rates. But what impresses me most is their ability and willingness to fit into your time frame. 1 month before my wedding I moved out of state and wouldn't return until a few days before the wedding. They rushed and did my final fitting before I moved and then had the dress waiting for me pressed and ready to go when I returned to Michigan. Wonderful!

He takes absolutely amazing photos. I got him for a deal b/c my business used him often. My only complaint is that it is hard to get ahold of him, and over 3 months after my wedding I have yet to see or receive the photos.
