I met Helen while visiting a flower wholesaler to gather inspiration and get an idea of cost. I had no idea how much flowers cost, so I simply guessed on what my budget should be. One of the other florists scoffed when I told her what I had in mind, saying that a wedding my size (135 guests) typically costs $3-4k.

Helen didn’t flinch when I told her my budget - she said she does this as a passion, enjoys it, and would be very willing to work with me on cost. She answered all my questions and sent me pictures and ideas, before she knew I was interested in booking her.

After I hired her, I had even MORE questions. She’s patient and super responsive by email, which I love. It was less stressful knowing I could depend on her for answers – especially because I only had 4 months to plan! Not only is she professional and knowledgeable, she is also friendly and thoughtful.

I would definitely work with Helen again for future events. My friend just booked her for a wedding next year!

We had to plan our wedding in 4 months. We were at the top of our budget, but our friend recommended Serenity Events as a “must-have” for the wedding day. She couldn’t have been more right. Caroline and I were a match made in heaven!

After meeting her for the first time, we booked her right away. She is organized, personable, professional, and oh-so knowledgeable. She asked questions I didn’t even think of. I’m an organized (and very particular) person, but I have such high regards for how organized Caroline is! She provided a monthly to-do list, and even highlighted the more urgent items. She directed the rehearsal and wedding day smoothly and seamlessly. She remembered every detail, even when I had trouble remembering… and I only had ONE wedding to worry about!

I stressed about absolutely nothing on the wedding day. Not one thing. Caroline and her team took care of everything. My new sister in-law mentioned that her 2-year old daughter (now my adorable niece) loves to dance to a particular song. Unfortunately, the DJ didn’t have it. Caroline’s team somehow found it on iTunes on their phone, downloaded it, and gave it to the DJ to play. Our niece danced the night away to the delight of all our guests – she stole the show! This highlight of our wedding wouldn’t have happened without the quick thinking of Caroline and her team. We've gotten countless compliments on how fun and perfect the wedding was.

I can’t thank Serenity Events enough. For all that they did for us, and everything they did for us we likely didn’t even hear about.

I just told my husband I’m writing a review for Caroline, and he said, “Oh yea, she was awesome!”

There are three things you should know about me: 1) I'm not good at putting my own makeup on, 2) I like getting good deals, and 3) I'm very particular about most things. Most of my family (who live abroad) was not able to attend my wedding, so I needed spectacular pictures to send them - and I was stressed about wanting to look my best.

My worries melted away when I met Katie. She's professional without being cold. She's actually a very kind and warm-spirited person. I didn't feel like just another appointment in her book. She called me before each session (trial and wedding) to check on how I was doing. She took the time to help me research hair jewelry - which I didn't even know existed until she told me about it! She found a store 10 minutes away from my office, where I bought a lovely haircomb with feathers. She also helped me select a hairstyle (she was very patient with my indecisiveness, refer to #3 above), which I would never have thought of. Both went perfectly with my dress.

Then there's her work on makeup - it was immaculate. I'm not sure how else to describe it. She made my eyes and skin look like they never have before (refer to #1 above)! Sturdy is another word that comes to mind - I didn't need any touchups, except lip gloss of course (although Katie's lip laquer really toughs it out). On regular days, my eyeshadow and under-eye concealer are running after 5 hours. Katie's work lasted the whole 10 hours, even when I turned into a dance machine after several drinks. =)

What impressed me the most, aside from her kindness, was her work ethic. I almost think she cared about how I looked more than I did (refer to #3 above)! She spent time stepping back and analyzing my makeup to make sure it was flawless. She made sure every single hair was in place, and secure - without having it look like a hard helmet. And mind you, I was her second bride of the day. While sitting in her chair, I had a chance to hear about her personal life, her exciting assignments/adventures, as well as her 3am call times, frequent travels, and long days… but she never complained. I can tell that she loves her job, which made my experience even better. I trust her completely.

This was the best money I spent on the wedding (refer to #2 above). It relieved me of a great amount of stress, knowing that my hair and makeup looked perfect in the photos. I've gotten countless compliments on how I looked on my wedding day. The experience also led me to meet a wonderful person that I plan on keeping in touch with for years to come.
