We hired Kristeen as our day of coordinator. At the time we booked her, she was just starting out, and was very affordable compared to other coordinators. We met with her 4 times, and she was flexible with meeting us at the location of our choice. We communicated mainly by email, and she provided quick turn-around time. We did all of our own vendor reviews, but She freely offered vendor recommendations if needed. For the most part, she did a good job with set-up. However, there were two glaring mistakes: (1) she forgot to include the correct number of chairs at my mom's table, so during the beginning of the reception, my mom was standing without a seat; and (2) she had forgotten we changed the numbering of one of our families' tables, so they ended up sitting in the wrong area. Also, during the reception, neither she nor her assistant were readily accessible or visible. Overall though, we were satisfied with the job she did as the wedding turned out well despite these mishaps.
Our wedding was this past Saturday on 6/11. James provided us with the ceremony music, projector for our slide show, uplights, and DJ/MC for our reception. He did a great job overall despite very minor technical difficulties with the slideshow. We loved the lighting. James is incredibly helpful, and sent us song ideas for each part of the wedding e.g. processional, grand entrance, etc. We met with him twice...the initial consultation, and then to provide him with our music list & slideshow. Both times, he was accommodating and met us half-way. He's also very responsive via email. We recommended our friends to him, and he's giving us a $80 referral fee. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ/MC.
