We had all sorts of bad luck trying to find a JP. We found one and they had to cancell. We found another and they fell off the face of the earth. Finally, we found Richard.
Not only does he look the part, but he sounds and acts it too.
He was incredibly professional, offered great advice and suggestions, and even let us see the text of our reception months in advance. He takes a standard ceremony and allows the couple to customize.
I have complete faith in his ability.
We made all of our arrgangements through AAA in Marlborough. When we first went to meet with an agent, we had a couple different ideas. We knew our dream Honeymoon would be too expensive so we had devised an alternate plan. Our agent knew we weren't 100% in love with what we were talking about and took it upon herself to see if she could make our dream trip a reality.
In the end we chose a location that was a happy medium (with thoughts that we would go on the dream trip on an anniversary). She took care of booking everything - including a couple excursions.
She knew her stuff, and if I was going to plan a trip in the future, I would meet with her again.
Since I got my dress from David's Bridal and they have a partnership with Men's Warehouse, we decided to take that route.
They have suits for all different budgets. The more you want to spend obviously, the higher quality suit you will get. We chose a mid-priced ($150) suite from a Calvin Klein that is lightweight - which was important to my fiance because of when we are getting married.
There are all sorts of colors and options to chose from - from traditional with tails to modern without a tie.
They were easy to work with, and being located all over made it very easy for our guys to get what they needed.

We wanted to use a Unity Candle in our ceremony, but didn't want to pay the outlandish amounts we were finding.
We were able to find a personalized unity candle from the Oriental Trading post that was beautiful while still being reasonable.
In general, they offered a lot of options for favors and decorations that you might find helpful.

The Wayside Inn is a FANTASTIC location for a reception. The grounds are beautiful with the Martha-Mary Chapel, The Grist Mill, and the Inn itself. The rooms are nicely decorated in true old-fashioned style.
The funtions coordinator - Sandy - was very easy to work with. She was very thorough and put us at ease.
Though no tasting is included in the wedding package, we did go there for dinner one night to try before we set the menu. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for.
The menu options for the wedding itself are very reasonably priced, and do offer something for everyone.
I am counting down the days until my wedding.

I would highly recommend Ann's to anyone. They have a great selection of invitations are a great price. You can get up to 6 samples for free - which is a nice perk. I had to pay $5 for a David's Bridal one that was really bad.
Once I had narrowed down the invites to 2, I called to see if I could order the samply reply cards. I actually was sent them free of charge.
In addition to being a quality product, they are quite a steal. I found the same invitation I was interested in at other stores (The Paper Store and several other on-line vendors) for twice the price I paid here. One of the great services they offer is addressing of the invites for a small fee (varies depending on how many). What a time-saver that was!!
The staff are friendly and helpful. Because I was ordering the invites with customized addresses, I had to call in my order -- which took almost an hour. I would advise against ordering a digital proof. It isn't what it sounds like it would be. It is just the text of your invitation (which they read to you and spell to you over and over again) not even in the text you requested. (I thought it was more of the lines I wanted in the text I asked for with the invite background I ordered). It really isn't worth the $10 they charge for it.
Aside from being dissapointed about the proof, everything else was great.

The staff at Paige Jewelers is INCREDIBLY helpful & they know their stuff. I was able to find the perfect wedding jewelery - a tin cup. It is where my fiance picked out my ring.
I plan on making all my jewelery purchases there.

I went to The Special Event Bridal expecting to be oohed and aahed. I did not have that experience. I left with my Maid of Honor feeling like I had been rushed and spoken down to.
I had called in advance to make sure that they had the specific dress I was looking for. I was told it was in-stock & it wouldn't be a problem seeing it.
When I arrived, I handed them the list of dresses I wanted to try on, and was immediately told they didn't have some of them (that I had called specifically on), or that there was no point in getting them out as they wouldn't fit me. (I am a size 8-10 in most dresses, 12-14 in wedding dresses)
They were rude about the size of my bust - referring to them as puppies and bazongas on several occasions.
When I found a dress that I really liked I asked the price & they wouldn't tell me. Instead, they asked if I was "on a budget." When I said that I had a $ figure in mind that I wanted to spend, they tried to talk me out of the dress I wanted. They told me that this other dress I had tried on was for a "woman on a budget." They didn't ask what that budget was - for all they knew I wanted to drop $2,000. I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman in that store.
They wisked all the dresses away before I could I could even look at the price or see which designer it was.

I had a GREAT experience at Shoes to Dye for & would suggest that anyone looking for shoes for a special event go there first!
I walked into the store and was greated immediately. I had gone there to see a specific shoe, and had called in advance to make sure it was in-stock in my side. I was offered assistance, but kind of just wanted to look around and see what else was there. I found the shoe I was looking for and someone got it for me. I loved it, but just to cover all bases, I asked about a couple other shoes that I had found on their website.
The customer service representative gave me an honest run-down of the other shoes I was interested in. He told me about some of the down-falls of the other styles I was looking at. He offered me several bits of expertise that I hadn't thought of.
They know their stuff and they are very reasonably priced. I'm sure you can find what you are looking for there.

David's Bridal in Natick is where i got my wedding dress & my bridesmaids dresses. I worked with Shawna & she was very helpful. The dresses came in ahead of their planned arrival date and were fine. I also used them for alterations. I felt the alterations were a little on the expensive side for what I needed done - just bustle and hem, but I don't know much about that stuff.
They are all about selling you the complete package - shoes, veil, tiara, undergarments, and accessories. I found that some of their stuff was overpriced and not of the highest quality. But if you are looking for a 1-stop shop and don't care about the costs, they do have it all.
