Ok, so we had our outdoor dinner on the coldest night of the season but everything else was great. We chose to do a buffet style appetizers and drinks so our guests could walk over to the RumBar and watch the dancers and bonfire. The food was just fine and everyone enjoyed the show. They did put out heat lamps for us though, thankfully! It was a bit chilly
We just got our pictures back and are so happy! They all turned out so beautiful. I liked that there was an even balance of portraits and candid photos. She also designed my photo guest book for the wedding and all the guests raved about it.
My husband and I have never been on a cruise before so we thought for our Honeymoon that we should give it a try. We were very selective with the cruise line and were so happy we chose the new Celebrity Solstice and went to the Caribbean! This ship was unbelievable. We had a Royal Suite which was new, modern, clean, and gorgeous! Very spacious too! The quality of the food was to die for and really enjoyed the specialty dining since we preferred not to eat with a big group in the main dining area. There also wasn't alot of kids or drunken college kids therefore we truly relaxed on our honeymoon. There was also alot of activities to do on board and we became especially fond of bace ball. The only bad comment I can make was one port of call we went to. St. Kitt's. It was awful!
I've been going to this spa for years without any problems but when I went there the day before my wedding it was horrible! It was suppose to be a day of relaxation instead I got
1. a very aggressive (eventually sore the next day) massage
2. a rude manicurist/pedicurist
3. A lady who over waxed my eyebrows (even though I said I just want the stray hairs to be cleaned up as I already waxed a 2 week ago)
4. A very elderly lady who claims she's a hairstylist. She gave me a blowout WITHOUT any product and didn't know how to use a round brush. My hair turned out frizzy and the ends were all in a haywire. I had to rush home before my rehearsal dinner began and wet/dry my hair all over again. My 10 year old cousin could have done a better job.
Thank god I didn't get my makeup done!

If having an over the top platinum wedding is your dream, look no further! The Breakers Resort in Palm Beach is absolutely breathtaking! We had our ceremony in the Gold Room (gold-plated ceilings), cocktail hour outside in the courtyard (although it was a bit windy) dinner and dancing in the Circle Room, and finally Venetian hour back in the Gold Room. The ornate designs of the rooms and grounds themselves, makes it very easy to cut back on your design budget. We didn't have to drape walls, orders tons of flowers, etc...The rooms just spoke for themselves. Our catering manager, Sascha, was the absolute best. She was so helpful from day one and even more helpful the day of the wedding. She never lost her cool and always had a pleasant smile which made me feel like everything was taken care of (and it was). I also had my own bride attendant that followed me around making sure my dress was okay, champagne was filled and helped me get in out of of my chair (I had a huge dress). The food was absolutely amazing and everything came out on time and perfectly cooked. I am truly amazed at how smoothly the whole night went. I don't want to know how many people were behind the scenes making my day perfect.
The Breakers exudes sophistication and elegance.
My tip, don't overdue the food menu. The quality and presentation speaks for itself.
Tania hand made wine charms as my wedding favors. They were absolutely beautiful. Each charm was completely different (she made over 200 of them) and contained different kinds of gems, pearls, etc...The big plus was that each charm said either, Love Life, Wisdom, Follow You Heart, and Love. Since she hand makes all them by herself you can customize them to your liking. She also makes beautiful jewelry. My two junior bridesmaids and flower girl LOVED their earrings.
This is a great idea for a bride that wants something truly unique and never seen before.
Alan and his band, the Powerhouse, was the best! All our guests raved about the music and danced all night long. I couldn't have asked for better entertainment. He also helped me secure a great string quartet and latin band jazz trio for our venetian hour. Wow Factor!
I love all their designs and the prices are moderate. My girls loved the dress and were all happy with the cut and design. Their wallets were happy too!

I bought my dress from the shop in Schaumburg, ILL. My experience was just fine. The sales person, Jackie, new my taste and found the dress for me. The dress was ordered promptly and came in on time. Alterations were great too.
Quite expensive but absolutely worth it if having beautiful handmade invitations is a must for you. The shop is located in Evanston and the two ladies, Breanne and Andrea, were not only very helpful but also extremely creative. They helped me design my own invitation (instead of picking from a book) and had a fine selection of high quality papers and such to choose from. Every single person that received the invitation raved about how unique and beautiful they were. They've never seen an invitation like it before! It came in a box and had our own monogrammed wax seal. I'd highly recommend them if you are looking for high quality, uniqueness, the Wow Factor, and won't blink at paying premium for it. I'll be going back to them for all my future occasions.
