Sweet and Saucy provided all the desserts for our sweets table and our wedding cake on 11/17/12.
Our main contact was Amie from the Newport location. Right off the bat, she was extremely courteous, patient and professional. She was extremely easy to work with and was so accommodating with all our requests. She always got back to me with any questions or concerns we had and she made us feel so comfortable! Of course, the tasting was one of the best parts about the wedding planning. We'll go back at one point for another tasting for fun!
The desserts definitely speak for themselves. They were all soooo delicious! We had red velvet, oreo and pumpkin mini cupcakes. Along with white chocolate covered strawberry cake pops and our 2 tiered cookie dough wedding cake. The guests absolutely devoured everything and couldn't stop talking about how good they were! The cake came out absolutely stunning. We had a lace overly on our wedding cake, but instead of other shops which took actual lace and laid it over the fondant, Sweet and Saucy hand cut white fondant to look like lace and it came out so much better! We felt so bad cutting into it because it was so beautiful!!
They had a wide array of colorful and classy stands at the Long Beach location which they also deliver along with whatever you need to your venue. For a price they'll also come at the end of the event and pick it up.
I can't thank them enough for all the work and for the amazing desserts they provided!!!! The sweets table turned out beyond our expectation and the guests couldn't stay away from it! YUM!

Although they do accommodate ceremonies and receptions, I can only comment on our reception in the main hall on 11/17/12.
First off, the venue is absolutely beautiful with one whole side being high glass. The hall definitely provides a unique shape being an eye shape from the top view. When you rent the venue, it also includes tables and chairs as well which is a nice plus. They also have plenty state of the art things like electric blinds, hanging projectors, speakers hanging from the ceiling all over and a huge Sony screen!
The only issue was the responsiveness from the venue. Kelly, the event coordinator, is amazingly hard to get a hold of. She is super sweet, very polite and courteous though. She told me they just started doing weddings within the last 2 years and this year they had an overwhelming response, hence the lack of responsiveness. I really hope they get her some help because the venue is so beautiful, they're good people and you're helping out a museum!
The one factor that absolutely stood out to us though is they agreed to move our cocktail hour into the lobby instead of the courtyard out front with ONE day notice! The weather reports changed last minute and it rained pretty good on our wedding day. They really saved our butts and our guests a lot of problems there. I can't thank them enough for being so accommodating!

Jason provided our photography needs for our wedding on 11/17/12.
Jason is an amazingly talented photographer and extremely courteous, patient and professional. He made us feel completely comfortable during our first meeting and we ended up sitting with him chatting about so much more than photography or weddings. Before you knew it, hours had passed. His online portfolio only shows a small fraction of his work. You have to meet with him and see more of his work, you'll be happy you did. He has a different eye for pictures and makes the process fun. He goes so far above and beyond your cookie cutter wedding photographers. His assistant and second photographer he brought with him were also so easy to work with and also made us completely comfortable.
I HIGHLY recommend the Q-Booth instead of your normal photo booth. He sets up a backdrop and has a ton of fun props and just shoots away. It's not just a camera on a tri-pod either, he's moving around and catching different angles for each picture. Every picture is printed out right away, you get a link of all the pictures posted online and you get all the pictures on a disc shortly after. The Q-Booth was easily the biggest highlight of our reception. Young and old, our guests are still talking about it and we're still laughing at all the hilarious pictures. I'm sure we'll still be laughing at them 50 years from now!
