We opted for a Korean Hotel in Koreatown because we were having a traditional Korean bowing ceremony called a paebaek. They have all the stuff there (so we didn't have to pay extra for rental of the stuff needed for the ceremony). My mom did order special rice cakes though. The food was a buffet of traditional Korean fare, but every one loved the culture. Afterwards, the young out of towners went downstairs to the bar and partied it up there singing Karaoke until the wee hours of the morning! They gave us a 10% discount at the bar since we had had a party upstairs.
Jessica Lee is the makeup artist who can make you look amazing on your wedding day. She made me look gorgeous and my bridesmaids as well. She is located in the Salon called Hair Day off of Western Ave. in Los Angeles. It's mainly a Korean place, but every one is welcome. I plan on using her for other special occasions in the future!

Our groomsmen were in different cities so men's warehouse worked out perfectly for us. They could get measured and fitted in their hometowns and bring the tux to the wedding. The only drawback was that the pants seemed a bit baggy but overall it was an easy thing for the guys to take care of.

Definitely best part of our wedding.
Every one went into the booth and 2 copies came out. They kept one and scrapbooked the other. Some of the people kept both pictures, but it was OK because 2 weeks after the wedding we got a CD that has EVERYONE'S PHOTOS and the scrapbook. It was great because we got to see shots we didn't have in the album. They also give us on the CD all the individual shots also (not just the 4 photos together). It was so easy and so nice. And every one had a great time. Worth the money for a unique favor.
What a professional and well performing DJ. He kept the music flowing, didn't talk too much and the prices with the company were really reasonable. We chose to work with Ryan as our DJ but you can choose your DJ. They also have a premeeting with you before the wedding to find out what songs you want to be played when and the order of things to happen. They have extensive lighting gear (extra charge) but it's really worth it. People danced a lot and complimented our DJ. I'd recommend this company to anyone!
Wow, can we say TASTY! And best yet, this cake comes free when you book with the Lindley Scott House! What a deal!
Our cake had 4 layers of different flavors. People at our wedding went back for more just to try the different flavors. 1) we had a black and white cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry preserves in the middle, 2) lemon cake with lemon curd 3) chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream 4) white cake with apricot preserves.
it was gorgeous and the flavor was moist and not too sweet. I highly recommend this cake place!

Gorgeous decor, within my budget and easy to work with. Jacklyne and Heather used all the flowers I love. I showed them a picture and they followed it perfectly. Jacklyne made a wonderful white bouquet that thad purple hydrangeas around the bottom. So pretty. Better than I imagined. She really went all out and took care to stay in my budget. I highly recommend her.
What a gorgeous place to get married. Things went quite smoothly and every one had a great time. Diane P was the lady in charge of the money but on the wedding day, Leo the wedding coordinator is a laid back guy who gets the job done. He kept my parents up to day on the alcohol tab (since it was open bar) and kept his cool during the whole ceremony.
The food there was fantastic. We had the chicken and steak with asparagus and mashed potatoes. People raved about the food.
The alcohol had a great beer selection at $5 each and although they don't have a full liquor license beer and wine was fine for every one.
The gardens are gorgeous. We got married underneath 2 huge trees. It was great! The reception was a short walk away in their built banquet hall that has a dance floor and air conditioning.
The only down side is the fact that parking is stacked or people park in the street but it ended up not being a problem. I loved this venue and hope you will too!
I found my wedding dress at
June's
Neighborhood: Burbank

It's a Maggie Sottero and it took about 3 months to arrive. It was gorgeous and it fit my budget. Also June's has a slew of brides maid dresses and little kids suits and flowergirl dresses at great prices. The prices were reasonable but the service was just OK. But I'm happy to have found my dress and my veil was only $39 also!
This place was fabulous. There's a larger room on the side and about 20 of us fit. We had afternoon tea. The scones were scrumptious. We got a variety of scones and split them in half so that we could try the different flavors. The sandwiches were also a variety. Each one of us could choose the tea we liked and it was always refilled. Parking was in the Public Parking structure across the street. 90 minutes is free.
There was plenty enough room for me to open gifts and the waiter even took a picture of the whole group.
