I plan to go with Cupertino Florist without really looking anywhere else because my family has used them for everything and they always do an excellent job and have everything ready on time. Throughout the years I've gotten boutonnières there and they've all been beautiful.

I purchased my bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding at Mimi's. The dress was very stylish and they did a good job with the fitting, but one of the ladies who helped me through most of it was kind of rude. Later I brought my maid of honor and one of my bridesmaids there to shop around and they felt the same way about her.

Gabrielle's Bridal Boutique has a selection of breathtaking and original bridal gowns. If I could afford to by my gown there, I definitely would.

This was our first choice because it's where we got engaged. However, the cost is astronomical and I don't think it's really worth it. The on-site coordinator was very difficult to get in touch with. Also, the gardens aren't kept in the best shape anymore. It's a beautiful location, but unless you have a lot of money to burn, look elsewhere.

My engagement ring is from Urban Jeweler and I love it. The worked with my fiance to customize it and he was really satisfied with how it came out. (They're located in Ann Arbor, MI)

Stay away from Panetta's Catering. The food is gross, and they lie to people and pretend to be the exclusive caterers at certain venues when they, in fact, aren't. True, it's really cheap, but they're very amateur-ish and it isn't worth risking them messing up your big day.

I'm unimpressed with David's Bridal. The gowns are overpriced and most of them are nothing special. I might still go with them for my bridesmaids though - since they live all over the country and it's just more convenient that way.

If we'd had more room in our budget we would've gone with the Mountain Winery. The scenery is amazing (and they'll take you and your photographer around in a van to get pictures taken by the vineyards, etc.) and everyone I spoke to was extremely helpful. It's a little pricey, but it's definitely worth it.

Shadowbrook is a restaurant in Capitola surrounded by botanical gardens and waterfalls and it overlooks a creek. The food is good (the baked brie appetizer is to die for), and they are incredibly affordable compared to other places in the bay.

My wedding isn't until May so Danielle Gillett is yet to photograph me and my hubby-to-be, however, she took the photos at my sister's wedding, and one of her best friends and they turned out absolutely gorgeous for both. I would highly recommend Gillett Photography.
