We have a testimonial somewhere around here. But this is our formal review:
Caroline is a photojournalist, an artist, and she's very good at what she does. Photographers are hard to find particularly because you choose them based on whether their style matches with your outlook, your perspective and style. After all, your wedding photos are what you keep for the rest of your life, so the stakes are high. The least we can say is that we got very lucky.
Photography is Caroline's passion (which she chose over many other things she could have done), and it shows in her product. Her photos are filled with interesting and playful angles, multiple complex layers and she finds great colors. Matched with the moments that she catches, you get pure eye candy. Just take a look at her website and her roaring popularity.
Working with her is a joy. She's bubbly and down to earth--which are very important when it comes to the wedding day. During our wedding day shoot, you could just see how much she enjoys her work. Her brain was working overtime just savoring and capturing every moment she saw. Thinking back, it's amazing seeing her do her thing. She works with purpose, and then she stands back and observes. She works with her husband Jonathan and they're just a couple made for each other--such a great team.
Our engagement photo session was awesome too--the photos are just iconic. We just love her style. She worked with us on a photo album...very beautiful. She's also very prompt.
Her location listing is misleading. Our wedding was in the Bay Area and her price was very reasonable considering she had to travel for the shoot.
Caroline is simply top notch. Her popularity is surging...you've got to catch her as soon as possible. Thanks again Caroline!

Nancy Liu Chin is hands down the best floral designer in the Bay Area (and likely beyond) and an absolute must for your wedding. She is a professional. Her creativity and raw talent is incredible. This woman is all about design and quality of flowers.
Flowers are difficult because you don't know what you're actually getting until the day of the event. Planning a wedding is a lot of homework already as it is, but with Nancy she gives you more than just flower arrangements, she helps you design and conceptualize. We had no idea what we wanted exactly or where to begin, but she holds your hand and gives you *options*. We got a sample arrangement, didn't like it, told her that we didn't like it and she *worked* with us. She turned a difficult moment into a moment of opportunity--and that made the difference. When we saw what she created at the wedding we were blown away. Everyone was speechless and we got constant compliments about the flowers. The color scheme we discussed--astounding. The way the flowers were supposed to look--excellent. Her timeliness--impeccable.
Her pricing was very reasonable and she gave realistic estimates as to what our asking price would get us. She worked with us on that too. She genuinely loves her customers and she helped us get the biggest bang for our buck. She also surprised us with "bonuses" that really knocked our socks off at the end of our wedding.
She's so bubbly, genuine, positive, and flexible. A real pleasure to work with for a person who regularly does bigger events than ours. We came away loving her from start to finish--especially the finish. We are extremely satisfied with our flowers and our choice to choose Nancy. She really took our wedding to the next level! Thanks so much Nancy!

Kelly, the event manager at Garden Court Hotel, was wonderful to work with. She was always prompt and extremely thorough and helpful. Her responsiveness was impressive and she helped the wedding day run smoothly. Thank you SO MUCH KELLY! You were awesome and we were so lucky to have worked with you!
Not only was the venue beautiful and the perfect spot for our intimate reception, but the quality of service provided at the Garden Court Hotel was impeccable and outstanding.
Our reception was held here and food was an important consideration. The style and decor of the hotel is spectular. The celadon green stripes in the Grove Room upstairs are classy. We thought the venue combined an intimate ennvironment with class and elegant style. Their dinnerware was impressive and their selection of linens was extensive.
What really drew us about this venue is that it's sitting on top of the famed restaurant Il Fornaio. And what a treat for our guests. They could not praise the food more--a definite hit.
The pampering is endless here. From the day we arrived at the hotel for the wedding weekend until the very last hour of our stay, we were very well taken care of and the service was truly sincere and above and beyond anything we have ever experienced at a hotel. We felt like the entire staff in the hotel knew who we were and made sure we were comfortable and happy. The night before, we asked for some tea as we made last minute preparations. Instead, they brought not just one cup of tea, but they set up a tea station with goodies just for us and our friends. The amenities in our suite were wonderful and they set up a station in our room with our wedding cake, cider champagne, and other goodies. The morning after our wedding, we called to have our car pulled up to load our belongings. They said they've already found our car, parked it, and had a dedicated bellman to help us. It was like they read our mind.
This place is a gem. It deserves every high mark it earns--and they definitely earn their mark!
Thank you, Garden Court Hotel, for truly exceeding our expectations and providing not only a beautiful venue for our wedding but great service to us and all of our guests!!
Simply put: This vendor is unprofessional. We were initially attracted to Bluume/Outburst based upon her work on her website, prices, and the (premature) reviews on Project Wedding. Like the other reviews say, she is generally pleasant.
That's where the good comments end.
After an initial phone call and through a month of numerous email exchanges trying to schedule a meeting time, Bluume abruptly told us that our date is somehow unavailable after she originally (and firmly) said it was, without any advance notice.
With other vendors (or any vendor for that matter) it is a matter of courtesy to check up with engaged customers first whether they intend to go with someone else before giving a spot to another customer. We didn't get that. Not only did she drop us without rescheduling our meeting, but she didn't even have other places to refer us to--she referred us to Project Wedding.
When we checked back with Project Wedding, the reviews were updated and they confirmed our experiences. For the other reviewers, we're very sorry that an important day like your wedding was messed up by incompetence and unprofessionalism. We're almost glad that she cancelled on us so we can avoid having to deal with that kind of incompetence where it counts.
