We had music instructors from a local SF music school perform for the ceremony. One violin and one cello, for about $150. Sound-wise, I think they were great. There was a glitch during the ceremony when they didn't start playing at the start of the processional, and the first person that walked down the aisle walked in silence. Of course, I heard about this after the fact and was mortified, but apparently it was kind of amusing at the time and broke some tension. I am not sure if this was the musician's fault or the wedding coordinator (from CYC), but in the end, everything went smoothly.
Jen is a dance instructor in the bay area. She does lessons at UCSF and in GG Park on the weekends. We did a 1-hour private lesson in her apartment for $50, which was fine. She showed us a few moves and slightly improved our form (maybe). Email me for more info.

Jamie did my hair and makeup. I loved my up-do, esp with the flowers (Tuberose!). As for the makeup, it was pretty simple, which was what I wanted. Jamie was perfect for a Marin wedding -- I am not sure if she travels.
Cranberry stripe with sunset gold sash. I only had one BM, so it was an easy order for Aria. They sent the dress promptly, and quickly corrected a sash problem. My only hesitation with them is that I think that they are a bit pricey for what you get, but I guess that's the nature of the wedding business, right?
Peggy has recently started this local Bay Area business and she was very responsive (even with our nit-picky requests) and creative! She designed the invitations specifically for us, and fully assembled them, all for a very reasonable price.
They are very talented musicians who know how to do weddings well. The lead singer is amazing, and Jules has a "shtick" where he plays 2 saxaphones at the same time. Many of our guests seemed to really enjoy them, to the point of getting their contact info for future parties. We asked them to play a song outside of their usual repertoire for our first dance, which they agreed to. However, in retrospect, we wish we had stuck to their tried-and-true song list, since they play those songs so well.

These two local Marin women recently started their own business and were very professional and fun to work with. We ended up booking them by the hour and bought the high-res pictures instead of getting a package from them. Laura was our photographer for the wedding and her strength was in the pictures of us that she took before the wedding. We were a bit disappointed in the number of pictures that she took at the reception -- she didn't get all of the tables, so there are many people that we have no pictures of at all. But overally, we have about 500 pictures that really captured the feel of the day.
Recommended by klau, it was a pleasure to work with Kesia. She was very down to earth with reasonable prices and very, very pretty flowers. There were some fears the day of the wedding when she was running late to set up, but everything turned out just fine. In the end, I LOVED my flowers so much that it was traumatic to get rid of them when we left for the honeymoon!
Jill was our favorite vendor. The cakes are perhaps more expensive then others ($5/pp), but she was so creative and accommodating that it was absolutely worth it. We had her make small cakes for the centerpieces of half of our tables, which turned out to be beautiful and delicious. Also, she made our yummy favors – golden gate bridge cookies.

Overall, we were extremely pleased with the CYC. The food was fabulous, much better than we expected… we had the salmon and beef tenderloin. Many people have commented to us about how good the food was. The site was beautiful, and was perfect the day of the wedding. We had our ceremony here too (in the sun room), which is an option if you have <110 people, and this worked out well too. We had a few minor concerns with the site... email me for details.
