My new husband insisted on doing his own food, since he is a chef and has a part time catering business. We received many compliments on the food, all served as a strolling dinner style and either room temp or cold. The presentation fit my style for the decor and like I said there were many compliments about the food overall. I'm sure if you ask him, he has some things he'd have done differently but overall, he was pleased with how it turned out. His e-mail is: codyjclements@gmail.com if you would like to e-mail him for your event.

Kara Stelma, a friend of my new sister in law's, did our pictures. I knew from her blog and previous pictures she'd capture the wedding in a way that no one else could. I was and continue to be immensely impressed by her talent and passion for photography. Pictures are just something I don't have a great eye for. She not only remained fun and professional the whole night but she was easy to work with and wasn't in our faces.
Her blog is http://karastelmaphotography.blogspot.com/. THANK YOU KARA, a thousand times!!

I bought my husbands titanium ring for under a hundred dollars. The only two things I didn't like: the pictured online were a little difficult to see every detail and decide for sure if I'd want that ring, second it can't be resized. Titanium can be cut off in an emergency but tungsten carbide cannot. Titanium is indestructible and weightless. Therefore, they cannot resize titanium due to it's density, etc. The perks, they had a good return policy, could engrave it for free (if you know for sure you want that ring), and it's so inexpensive I can replace it for not very much cost.

We spent nearly a thousand dollars from this place and seemed to be happy with them until we went back the day after our wedding to return a few things that were missed and were lectured and charged an extra $50 for the plates not being cleaned off. Here's my thought- either are the dishes not being put through an industrial dishwasher and being sent back out to patrons unclean, or is it really that much of a hassle to run them through the dishwasher twice? My husband is in the restaurant industry and my first job was as a dishwasher at a restaurant. SO... point is, I didn't appreciate the lecture of how the dishes weren't spotless when we just paid you nearly a thousand dollars for some plates and tablecloths. Wow.

I cannot sing this books praises loud enough. The authors did an outstanding job putting all of the info in the same book and left pretty much nothing to chance. It covered just about everything. They have a money back guarantee that if you don't save $500 they will refund the book price. I spent under $7000 for a wedding of 120 people on the entire wedding and couldn't have done it without this book. I'm sure you can find it used on amazon or half.com for less than $15 if you are worried about that.

I found my dress at a local store but according to the bridal bargain book, could find it for cheaper since it was out of my budget. I asked for a quote and they sent me one from a store in New Orleans. I asked the place I tried it on at if they would match it and after a near sabotage and definite no, long story short, I went ahead and put my faith in a phone order for the place in New Orleans. I received it a month before expected, in perfect new condition and couldn't have been happier! It was over $200 less and still the same gown, same designer.

I found this auction on ebay for pocket squares for the groom and groomsmen. It was for 5 so it was perfect. I picked the colors and styles we liked. They arrived and were not at all what they looked like in their color picture. I contacted the seller and he ended up sending me every color I wanted- and not a sample of the fabric- an actual pocket square. I was to choose the colors I wanted and send the rest back and let him know and he'd make the remaining ones and send them also. I was shocked that he was so trusting. What a great way to do business! It worked out perfectly. I chose the colors and sent the others back and wrote him to tell him the one I'd chosen and he made the rest and sent them along. I was so happy as were the groomsmen. I bought the ties from macy's...that was a little harder to find four matching ties in stock. But I did it!

I was a little worried about the reviews online for this place but the bridal bargain book said they were good. I didn't bother with the sample bouquet of 25. I went straight to ordering three or four months before the wedding and held my breath. They arrived two days before the wedding as promised. They were well packaged. The flowers were great however the standard roses didn't last as long as the premium roses and for our own sake, I should have ordered the greens from them too. Overall, the experience was great. I would definitely use them again for an event. The price was outstanding.

I made my invitations from a sample/idea I found from another site. I did a lot of my wedding preparation and various things online since I was living on the other side of the state.
I found this website and they let you purchase a lot of samples for a minimal price so you can see the sizes, colors, and papers. It was so cool. As if that weren't enough, the prices were awesome, as were delivery prices and times, the customer service and the overall reviews. I even went back to find the envelopes for the thank you cards.

The park was beautiful. Mosquitoes bad. The building had picnic tables which could not be removed. Limit was 100 guests. We managed fine and had a good wedding. The one thing I had a major problem with was that the park was public and even though the park people reassured us that they would be on site to prevent people from disturbing our day, they were not. There were at least four groups of families taking their pictures in the park that day even though we had paid to have those areas of the park. Now I have people standing on the sidewalk, strangers that I have to Photoshop out of photographs because they were "kind enough" to postpone their picture taking so that we could have our ceremony and take our pictures. We had to ask them at least three different times to move. It was a little preposterous.
