Excellent company to work with!

While we ended up having our invitations printed locally (easier for us since we were dealing with color), they were very helpful and quick to respond when I was sending files for sample printing.

We did end up purchasing all other invitation supplies from Cards and Pockets. The orders always came to us packaged well and on time. When there was a problem with my order (I selected the wrong size for our mats), their staff quickly contacted me to get it fixed. I can't really say enough how great it is working with a company that actually communicates!

Great customer service, great products, and great prices.

Overall, we had a good experience renting through Men's Wearhouse. It was only slightly annoying that they always had difficulty finding our group reservation by name and date (I finally started carrying the group number with me everywhere). Other than that, the staff were helpful when picking colors, and gave us a courtesy call when some members were cutting it close with making their reservation.

We had a minor hiccup when my brother was given a vest that was too large. They were able to get a smaller vest in, but didn't call to tell him, so we ended up calling them instead the day before the wedding.

The lady assisting me with gowns was great! She looked at the pictures I had for inspiration, and tried to find gowns in stock that would be similar. She even did some quick work to show me how we could alter a plain satin dress to fit the idea I had in my head. She was really working hard that day, but even so, I never felt like she wanted anything but to find me just the right dress.

It does seem like they sized me wrong - they suggested I order a size larger than what I did order, and when the dress came in, it was still too big! Thank goodness I didn't follow their advice. My seamstress said any bigger, and it would have been extremely difficult to alter (i.e., much more expensive to alter), as the bust would have been too wide.

The dress came faster than expected, which I appreciated. They were good about calling back, and I never had to wait around for my appointments.

I was a DIY bride, and using save-on-crafts.com to purchase my supplies saved me a lot of money! They were always shipped quickly, and carefully, so that when I opened my packages nothing was damaged.

Good quality products for the price!

Penny was a pleasure to work with! She makes such beautiful music on her harp, and we couldn't have asked for better for our ceremony. I just wish I could have enjoyed it even longer!

She has an extensive repertoire, and was wonderful about helping me choose music that fit the "feel" I was going for for our ceremony.

Excellent vendor to work with!

I absolutely appreciate a vendor that communicates well via email, since I spend most of my time on my computer. Christine was very quick to respond, she's very nice, and most importantly, the woman can bake some tasty cake!

She did wonderful job on our cake - it was exactly like the Photoshopped picture (I took three cake images and made one), except much better! It made me so happy to walk into my reception and see my cake there and waiting.

Her prices can't be beat, especially for the quality cake you get. I cannot wait until our anniversary when I get to eat that cake again.

The Country Club was an excellent choice for our wedding. A lot of our guests would be coming from out of town, and it was very important to us that we choose a site where we could have both our ceremony and reception. This spot was perfect for us!

The setting was beautiful (rolling hills, vineyards, a lake...), and the room for the reception was outfitted just right. We loved the comfortable chairs! No uncomfortable folding chairs for our guests!

Since it's a country club, we fully expected the pricing to be outrageous, but it was actually more reasonable/affordable than most of the other venues we looked at, and for us a much easier deal. We wouldn't have to worry about renting any supplies, finding a caterer, etc, which we had been dealing with with the first venue we booked. And, bonus, they have an event coordinator on staff!

The food was delicious! This was very important to my husband and I. We did not want any dry/gross/blegh wedding food served at our wedding. We wanted to really treat our guests, since the enjoyment of food is a big deal in our lives. We actually found that the food served at the wedding was even better than what we had at the tasting! And the appetizers we did get to enjoy (they brought us a tray - very nice!), were extremely tasty! I was a bit jealous of our guests since they got to enjoy more of them. They were even able to accommodate my special request for an appetizer not featured on their menu, and did an excellent job with it.

My only gripe was that communication could be a little slow at times. There were a few times I had to send follow up emails or call to get answers to questions I had sent in. I think the biggest lag was towards the end - in fact, I never did receive our final pricing requested two weeks before the wedding. My father in law ended up taking care of everything at the reception. My husband and I didn't want them to pay for certain things, so that was kind of disappointing to us.

But when I did meet/speak with Bill, he was always fantastic. You can tell he's been in the game for a while - he really knows his stuff. The rest of the staff were always wonderful, as well. Very polite, very professional, and they never acted too busy to help when we were setting up.

Overall, I would certainly recommend this venue! We had a wonderful wedding, and our guests had a fantastic time.

I met DJ Bob at a bridal fair in San Luis Obispo. I took my younger brother with me to find a DJ - he isn't a huge fan of people in general, so I figured if he likes someone, then they're going to be awesome.

As soon as we started talking to Bob, I just knew he was the one. I looked over to my brother, and my feeling was confirmed with a nod. This guys was just awesome right out the gate! Great sense of humor, yet professional (some of the other DJs we met at this same fair were putting down other pros - very uncool). He had lots of experience, and it just showed in how he talked about the events he's done in the past.

As the planning process went on, I swear every time I mentioned who my DJ was people would say something like, "wait, you booked DJ Bob? I LOVE DJ Bob!" The man has a reputation for awesomeness.

Meetings with Bob were great - he had great song suggestions when asked, and really took the time to feel out my (and my hubby's) musical style. He didn't even bat an eyelash when I requested Michael Bolton's "Can I Touch You There" (inside joke between the hubs and I).

But I think the thing I loved the most is that I just felt deep down that I could give no direction at all, and he would still do an amazing job. I knew that, with him, I didn't have to worry about a thing.

And I didn't - he was on time for the wedding, got my officiant and husband set up with lapel mics, prepped my bridal party for our entrance, and did an amazing job as our MC all night. I can't tell you how many times my husband and I looked at each other throughout the night and said, "man, I love DJ Bob."

I really could go on and on, but I think you get the point. If you want to make sure your guests have a great time on the dance floor, do yourself a favor and hire Bob.

Jonathan was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was the first vendor we booked, and definitely one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

First there's communication: you can email him, call him, send him a message on facebook and he always responds, and quickly! It's so nice to work with a vendor that doesn't leave you hanging for weeks on end.

Second, there's personality. It is just so easy to relax around him, and for me, that's saying something. I freeze up as soon as a camera comes within 10 feet of me! Jonathan has a great sense of humor, and is very open and friendly. I actually got compliments from my guests and wedding party on how great he was!

And third, there's the work. Oh my goodness, but our pictures look amazing! He somehow managed to capture all of the details of the day (no idea how - I think maybe a clone?), and captured them beautifully. I cannot wait to make an album so that I can show off my pictures to family, friends, and possibly unsuspecting strangers.

We have booked the Brazilian Room for our Sept 2011 wedding. I've visited the venue twice now, and was even more impressed the second time. They had just completed some work sprucing up the interior, and I absolutely appreciate that!

We found the price to be perfect for our budget wedding, and actually appreciate that there is a preferred caterer list. Narrowing our choices down to 14 caterers we know the facility trusts to deliver was very helpful, as we're planning our wedding from afar.

Yes, there are rules, but they are there for a reason (I certainly wouldn't want to be responsible for burning this awesome venue down with unacceptable candle setups), and we found them to be quite reasonable.

As for the note that it is required that you visit the facility on a Tuesday in order to sign a contract, we did not find this to be true at all. We've done everything by phone, fax, and email.

The only thing I'd change would be the drive (which is of course, un-changeable). It was a little hard for me to navigate my way down the hill in the dark. Of course, it was also raining pretty hard, and I have a horrible sense of direction, but still...it's a concern I have for my guests.
