What I like about this place is that it takes risks. Their dessert menu is always innovative and borderline experimental which can be fun, but sometimes it just doesn't work (for example, curry ice cream? gross). They do have their standard classic cakes which never fail though.

I only went here once, and it was for a Monique trunk show. I thought everyone was nice and honest. I don't know if their normal dresses are worth checking out if you have higher end taste.
The great thing about Glamour Closet is that everything is really cheap. Sure, the dresses probably won't be your size and you'll have to pay for the major altering.. but if you're getting a designer gown, it'll still be cheaper. They need more chairs for people to sit, and it seems like the people who work there will always say you look good even if you don't.

I really liked Amy Kuschel's space - very wide and lots of room. The collection is limited to only a few standout dresses, but what's neat about it is that you can customize a standard dress to how you want it (a certain lace, a certain trim, etc etc). One thing I didn't like though was that the person helping us kept changing. I think 3 different people ended up helping us, whereas it would've been nice to just have one the entire time.

Monique dresses are elegant but still edgy. Sure, they're $$$, but it's your wedding. It's worth it!
The woman who helped my sister find a dress was really nice and very accommodating. It seemed like they didn't really have that many dresses that I personally liked though. I'm sure they had a good amount, but say for example, if you know you want a Monique dress, you should go straight to a Monique store instead of here.
Asia SF is really fun - the trannies are great and know how to party. The only caveat for me was that I thought the food was bad, and not worth the price.

I've never had their wedding cake, but their normal cakes are divine! For Valentine's Day, my friend brought a specialty heart-shaped chocolate caramel cake the was so dense and rich but amazing.
Elysia Desserts is an up and coming cafe-bakery/dessert bar. Look out for some amazing products!
This place is very clean and the cake lady is very artistic. I thought she was very nice and professional, and I felt like the cakes on display were like pieces of art.
