Joyce is AMAZING. Her work speaks for itself...I had gone to another makeup artist and wasn't happy at all with the results. My wedding coordinator, Angel Swanson, recommended I get in touch with Joyce. Joyce sent me her online album, I got to picture #3 and knew she was "it". Her style is to enhance your face and to highlight what you've got going on...I never felt like I didn't look like myself. I felt so comfortable and so beautiful that I believe it helped me emanate that "glow" brides have. She is completely professional...showed up a bit early, had assistants to help and to set up, and was COMPLETELY ON TIME!!!!! I am the type of person that gets nervous when I'm running late, and she was so perfectly on schedule I never once felt flustered. She will put you at ease, and she is a sweet, sweet person. Amazing combination of personality, talent and professionalism. She's the best bet for you big day.

Hire Michael while you can afford him. His prices will be moving sky high in a few years, I'm quite sure. His work is amazing. Check out his blog and you will be blown away. He is SO QUICK to respond to any sort of question, even when he's out of town. I had my engagement pictures back within a week and my wedding pictures within a month (and he went out of town for a week during that month!) He is a cheerful guy, super laid back, ultra talented...overall a must hire. He is one of the vendors I was most happiest with on my wedding day. What an unbelievable talent...the fact that he's easy to work with is icing on the cake. My husband practically breaks out in hives over the idea for posing for pictures, but he was entirely comfortable with Michael. Highly, highly recommend. I agree with the reviewer that said she wishes she could give him a 6 star rating. I'd do the same if I could.

La Venta is a gorgeous reception site. The views are amazing, the location beautiful. The NY Food Company (who owns La Venta Inn) does an incredible job with the food. Their wedding coordinators are organized; they've turned it into a business and know exactly what they're doing. They never lose the personal touch to it all and are happy to cater to special requests. AMAZING. I would highly recommend to all.

Bernie was GREAT. The flowers were gorgeous and he was WAY reasonably priced. Amazing for the money. He did 3 big arrangements for the church, 18 centerpieces for the reception, 2 arrangements for the entry way at the church, all the flowers for a wedding party of 12 (+5 flower girls & ring bearers), and flowers for the families. He moved everything from the church to the reception, and I never even knew he was there. Beautiful job. Highly recommend.

Angel is a true professional. She is always quick to respond, is never harried, always cheerful, and super sweet....I had to ask her if she was ever in a bad mood! (Answer = "not really"). I initially did not think I had the extra money to hire a coordinator, but working full time and simultaneously planning a wedding made it a bit difficult and a less-enjoyable process. Angel came on board, and I had a number of the best vendor referrals at my fingertips that fit in my budget within hours of me asking. The time she saved me was worth it in itself...the beautiful wedding that came of it was priceless. I literally did not worry about a single thing the entire day, and that is exactly what you want your wedding day to be. I would refer to anyone in a heartbeat.
