A friend of mine got married last November and Kathy was her planner. What a success! I remember the bride often saying "oh, I talked with Kathy yesterday..." as the wedding planning process got rolling. The day went without a hitch. I was beginning to think about the details of my wedding at that point and contacted Save the Date Events. Kathy was already booked for the day but her colleague Lori was assigned to our event. (Lori had assisted at the wedding in November!)

Lori's help in contacting vendors and coordinating all our day-of comings and goings was PRICELESS. I live in Texas with my fiance-now-husband, my mom works full time and was busy with many other family crises, so I really needed help in this coordination for a southern California wedding. When a timing detail changed or was a conflict, she'd contact the necessary vendors or staff and it'd be done before I would even have gotten around to picking up the phone.

My mom didn't need to worry about anything, I wasn't worried anyway, and everything went so smoothly.
I think the best part was having someone to check-in with for all the mundane and exciting wedding details. I needed someone to remind me to get projects done or to delegate. She thought of every detail that I'd expect a professional to remember and none of my friends or family had to worry about meeting vendors, setting up centerpieces or crowd herding that day.
